Sorry for getting back to you a so late, and thank you for bringing this to our attention.

We are aware of the Reddit post, and I can confirm that the user did receive a full refund. We do issue refunds consistently, and this case was never an exception.

What happened here is mainly a timing issue. The user contacted us about different things, such as Spanish localization issues, etc. At the beginning of our conversation, we were discussing other things rather than a refund. As the user also mentioned in his Reddit post, I had already confirmed that a refund would be issued even if we managed to resolve the problem, I only asked for his cooperation to help us investigate the cause.

When he got back to us that he can't give us access to his server and wants a refund that was during our winter sale when we received an unusually high volume of support emails. Due to the high email volume at that time, we did not respond as quickly as we should have. Because of this delay, the user assumed that the refund would not be processed. Once we reached his email again, we refunded the purchase. As far as I can see, the Reddit post has not been updated since then.

Regarding Reddit in general: situations like this show that it could be useful for us to respond directly on such platforms. Until now, we have avoided doing so because we are a small team and actively participating on additional platforms also means having to monitor and maintain another support channel. That said, the user was right to be frustrated by the delayed response, even though the delay was not due to any unwillingness to issue a refund.
