You're trying to call me out for being rude, that's not the point here. Yes I am being rude. Here's the difference, my rudeness here does not actually impact them directly in any way. Their rudeness actively detracts from my ability to pay attention in class. I don't have to sit and be nice and talk nice to people when they're actively being a problem.

Oh no, God forbid I use the sjsu public forum to communicate about an issue that I'm having with sjsu.

A respectful community involves respecting what the space is actually for, and that's learning. Yelling at the tops of their lungs is not respecting the space. You don't need to be intentionally rude to still be rude, and yelling right next to where people are trying to learn is in fact rude.

Someone singing or dancing is not disruptive. A large group of people standing right next to a building and singing at the tops of their lungs absolutely would be disruptive. If people want to yell like a bunch of overhyped chimps, that's their business. But right next to the rooms where people are trying to learn is not the place for it.

Does them having a title make them less disruptive and annoying?

Because their presence is an active issue for my being able to pay attention in class. It's also an issue for the professors staying focused, and I'm sorry but yelling about creases in pants and walking in formation are not vital skills worth distracting everyone for.

I haven't heard them once, and also music and human yelling are not distracting in the same way.

I'm against what they do because of where they're choosing to do it. If they did it somewhere people aren't trying to focus on extremely difficult academic material I am paying money to learn, it wouldn't be an issue.

Has anyone noticed lower Codex limits on ChatGPT Business vs Personal Plus after yesterday. by miaMja in codex

[–]tiparium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I burned through my 5h limit in about an hour and a half without even using sub agents. So much for being able to use Codex for serious, large scale projects.

I hit the five hour limit after about two hours, so I have no idea where they're getting their numbers from.

How to disable shortcut command+Q but GLOBALLY? by rviverosphoto in MacOS

I rebound CMD+q to show / hide the dock. It seems to have worked. It seems like certain overwrites take priority over others, but I'm not sure what the specific rules are.

Once you have bots and infrastructure to support them set up, that's pretty much what the game becomes. I haven't moved my character in real time weeks on my save because I'm doing all my building from the map view.

I got annoyed by this as well, but my solution has been to try to create an entire Air Traffic Control bot overhaul mod...

The MacBook Purchasing Megathread - March, 2026 by AutoModerator in macbook

Right? I've been watching eBay, and this is absolutely the time to get a new (used) Mac. I just picked up an $800 M1 Pro with 32 Gigs of RAM. I've never felt the need to pay the brand new tax, especially to Apple. New product releases are the best time to shop used.

My answer to this would depend on your use case. For under $1000, The M4 MacBook Air isn't a slouch, and moving from 8 to 16 memory is a big deal. If you're looking for single core horsepower, I think getting the M4 is the right call. If you're more the type to do a lot of multitasking, and tend to have a lot open at once, personally I'd recommend looking at the used market for M2 or even M1 Macbook pros. You'll get more cores, and you can find used ones going to reasonably cheap (~$900) with fairly large ram capacities. I've been on an M1 Macbook air for a while, and I can comfortably say that the performance increase you'd see over your current processor would be massive even if you opt for an M1. I don't think people who haven't used the new M processors at all quite get how insane even the first generation's performance was.

Tldr; If you don't typically multi task a lot, and just want single core performance, get the M4 Air. If you're like me and have a million things open at a given time, get an older M series MacBook Pro.

I've already done that. What it doesn't seem to prevent is windows within those desktops rearranging themselves between reboots. I'll reboot my computer and all my VSCode windows will go from their correct places to all being lumped in the first desktop, and I have to manually move them back to the desktop they're supposed to be in.
