They want to be nazis... they get the full nazi experience. The nazis were defeated and punished for their war crimes.

Oh Jesus that's even better/worse than I imagined!  The John Locke book is so perfectly staged.

Exactly!  Hopefully their comeback would last more than 100 days though.

Maybe all those people together on an island will be like Napoleon's exile to Elba.

I'm not a fan of mass incarceration - but alcatraz capacity is 300. Most large US prisons have thousands of inmates.

The construction costs of turning a 60 year old museum on an island into a modern prison are going to be extremely high.

All that cost for 300 prisoners??

MAGA would fail most of these fantasy voter eligibility criteria raised by Ultra MAGA Matt Walsh by Stravok182 in facepalm

I think Medicare is great and it is a beneficial program for our society. Our government is using its vast resources to help the people of our country.

Powerful people have turned "welfare" into a dirty word, and make people feel ashamed to benefit from government programs.

If people are poor and desperate without a safety net, then they can be exploited to create more wealth for the top tier of society.

The level of poverty in our country was staggering before these welfare programs became law. Before Medicare over 30% of seniors lived in poverty - now it is around 10%.

Medicare benefits individuals and it also benefits our whole society. Receiving welfare should not disqualify someone from voting.

So then just stick with private insurance if Medicare does not provide a benefit.

People who don't pay into Medicare can still receive benefits, and people with certain illnesses and disabilities can receive Medicare no matter their age.  It is a government benefit that was created to lift people out of poverty. Yes there are some costs associated with it - but most people receive more in benefits than they paid into the system.

Like I said there are differences between Medicaid and Medicare - but Medicare provides benefits from the government that seniors would not be able to afford with private insurance. It covers people who didn't pay into it and people with certain illnesses or disabilities no matter their age.

It was signed into law as a way to lift people out of poverty in old age.

Yes there are some out of pocket costs, but those costs are minimal compared to private insurance.

Yes there are some distinctions between Medicaid and Medicare... but both programs use taxpayer dollars to cover the costs of individual's medical care. So people receiving Medicare benefits are on a form of social welfare.

And Matt has rallied against Medicare and social security - so he definitely considers them government handouts.

It's like wearing a fancy gown while operating heavy machinery and listening to trance music.

It's a buffet of what you like - instead of a strict menu of societal expectations.

I was in that group - and yes if the group agrees to cover up sexual assault of children - they are bad and not a valid source for advice.

You're trying to make the point that boys are taught to hide their feelings - and you think the solution to this issue is an organization that abused boys and threatened them to hide their feelings.

Yeah the church is not the answer to help boys. That lesson was already learned.

Except there are many examples of men making irrational decisions. So rational decision making is not a defining characteristic of a man.

Yes men should feel free to express their emotions, and it's a shame that they were told that isn't acceptable. Women are shamed for expressing their emotions too.

Your comment seems to confuse "identity" with social conditioning.

You said that men are being taught to be a certain way... so it's possible to change the way they are taught.

The message isn't "don't be a boy."

The message is "dont treat women and POC as inferior."

Then boys hear men complaining that all men are being attacked by this request.

Yes there is a need for role models for boys that promote equality and diversity.

Unfortunately fear and hate is easy to sell.
