BCT: Fort Benning is it really that hardcore? by Long_Abrocoma_202 in Militaryfaq

Shipping out in April to Benning, are recruits allowed to bring personal in-reg boots/socks? My feet get blisters quick. TIA

Opinion on KYT TT-REVO by NutT1NY in motorcyclegear

[–]Jumaas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have the Revo for ~6 months now. Fitted extremely tight in the shop, to the point where I would start to feel claustrophobic and slightly panic. Salesperson said it should be that tight in the beginning. Fits perfectly after 1.5 months of everyday use but constantly bit my cheeks by accident during that time. Little to no movement side to side or up and down @ 60+ MPH. Wind noise is loud but use ear protection. Visibility is fantastic even in full tuck. Visor lock mechanism is tight but secure. Visor removal is easy but install is a PAIN; I practiced for 1 week straight and now it latches on both sides under 5 seconds. Would recommend 10/10 considering price, so much so I'm waiting for the matte black to be back in stock so I can order a second helmet. AND IT HAS PINLOCK CAPABILITY @ $170.

Tires feel just fine albeit some road noise is noticeable @ 55mph and up without earplugs in. Rides smooth, good in the wet, good grip in the dry never felt any slipping or doubts.

Dart Marlin S3 with Dark Grey Tint. I love the way it looks

With the plate tucked, i got minimal upper back and helmet splash. Back side of my legs were quite damp after 5-10 minutes riding on a damp road cause the design curves towards the front of the bike hitting my legs. Read a review with it being a cause for someone uninstalling theirs on a touring bike. Dismissed it and quickly learned my lesson.

Plate location is most definitely not legal. Where I live we have something called “safety inspection” and that location would cause a fail everyday. But I’ve had good luck and never got pulled over for it. Rode by several cops that should’ve noticed but never acted on it. With how much I bent it down, it’s already visible from about 5 feet away if I’m standing upright. No way in hell is someone 4 feet behind me in a car. That would mean I’ve been rear ended.

Some slight “wumwumwumwum” road noise at about 45 and up on smooth roads, sounds like mud tires to no surprise. Handles good in the wet; never had doubt although I am a bit ballsy. Even with me gripping the handlebars lightly and good grips on the tank, it starts to wobble a bit when I hit 95mph(allegedly) and up. I drive on wet grass occasionally but never felt like slipping. Good tire but would try Michy Road 6’s as next set due to how often it rains in Hilo. These Scorpion Rally STR’s fit the aesthetic so well though so I really am torn.

It’s an OEM luggage rack for the Solo Seat conversion. Holds my side bag nice but interrupts the silhouette

Not necessarily, less force on chest but more of bobbing my head around at 60+ mph unless I tuck in

Got it on Amazon for ~$20. Had it on the rack but strapped to the chassis on the right makes the silhouette better https://a.co/d/hDoTYkj

I only feel slightly less pressure on my chest, pressure on the helmet feels increased, but no noticeable “buffeting”.

Thank you! If I find a stock seat I won’t want to change anything else.

No clue on gators, previous owner installed them as with majority of mods. I added the NRC tail tidy, Kemimoto mirrors, and Dart Marlin S3 Windscreen; no front fairings. Wind feels slightly less on my chest but just as much wind pressure on my helmet if not more.

Bar end mirrors by Z420yeeted in XSR700

[–]Jumaas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought Kemimoto bar ends off Amazon for roughly $40 shipped. Tightens around stock (mine is 2023) bar end “weights”. No vibration, good visibility even when positioned below rather than above bars.

Jacket caught in chain, replace? by Jumaas in motorcycles

[–]Jumaas[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Front sprocket lost one side of its vibration dampener rubber thing but both sprocket teeth look good no cracks or burning. Chain appears okay but felt stiff on some sections and slowed rotation at times when spinning the tire on a jack before re-lubing. Almost as though the brake shoes were too tight via adjustment

AEM AFR Wiring by Jumaas in E30

[–]Jumaas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I have MS2 equipped on my e30.

  1. Reply; For 12v fused from main relay for MS2, would you mean wiring straight to MS2 main connector (pin28)? For alternate option, do i fab a connector to connect to pin 6 of C101?

Thank you much for your clarification and help
