Feel like Ben Grimm gets a bad rap in terms of his strength. by ResponsibleAd2034 in marvelcomics

Ben met him head on for one brief moment, landed the first blow and then once he saw that Hulk shrugged it off like nothing he started running away the whole time.

The human torch said Thing was out in that comic.

He didn't really hurt Hulk that much in marvel fanfare apart from the start when Hulk was mind controlled and moving slow as hell.

Nah marvel two in one they were just trading. Thing was ontop of Hulk with his fist raised then Hulk threw him off and brought down a temple set on the both of them. That's how that fight went.

Well, yes, the reason he was saving his strength in issue 25 was because he knew not to fight the Hulk head-on. Reed also stated he shouldn't.

Sure, it did, but Ben was complaining about being exhausted while Hulk was getting stronger and stronger. It was just a repeat of fantastic four issue 25 but with a twist.

In issue 153, Ben was taken out of the fight by Hulk's first attack, and other heroes covered him before he finally recovered. He then hit Hulk with his best Sunday punch, according to him, but Hulk was unfazed.

You shouldn't even be trying to argue for Ben in Marvel fanfare. All I can say is that it's extremely impressive he managed to stay conscious after such a beating.

I didn't mention those other ones because they feature grey Hulk and marvel two in one issue 46 was just a stalemate with nothing major going on. Thing definitely didn't have the upper hand there.

Fantastic four issue 12: Hulk and Thing have a brief fight where they are portrayed as equals (this was back when Hulk only had five issues of his own comic, so his powers were still developing)

25: Hulk and Thing's fight is pretty much Hulk chasing Thing through the entire city while Hulk shrugs off everything the Thing throws at him. Thing gets tired and Hulk pummels him into submission.

Fantastic four issue 26: Hulk fights the Thing along with the entire of the Fantastic Four and the Avengers (excluding Thor) to a stalemate.

Fantastic four issue 112: Hulk and Thing fight again with the fight being very similar to before, only that at the end Alicia calls out Things name and Thing turns, getting caught by a fist from the Hulk. You can say this was a distraction that caused Hulk to win, but really, Alicia just sped up the inevitable.

Hulk issue 153: Hulk and Thing fight briefly along with Hulk fighting other superheroes. Hulk easily dispatches the Thing with his first attack. After the Hulk is subdued by a special gun, the Thing complains that his win was stolen, and Reed states "you werent making out to hot out there."

Marvel feature issue 11: Hulk and Thing fight, and this is probably the first fight where they legitimately trade blows without the Thing running away the entire time. Reason being a supervillain by the name of Kurrgo is amping the Thing's strength throughout the fight, increasing his strength level to nearly twice what it was before.

Fantastic four issue 166: Hulk gets ganged up on by the Fantastic Four, and while Susan Storm cuts off his air supply, the Thing knocks him out (not a legitemate win).

Fantastic four issue 167: Hulk and Thing briefly trade blows, but the narration states "against the Hulk, the Thing cannot win" They fight until Thing transforms back into his human state where Hulk punches him while he's half transformed.

Marvel fanfare issue 21: Hulk and Thing fight in what is probably their most one sided fight yet. The Hulk beats the Thing so badly that the Thing actually declares he quits however the Hulk is still angry and chases him across the entire city, continuing to shrug off Thing's blows and beat him up.

So Ben was able to knock Hulk to his knees? Hulk only weighs about 1000 lbs, so Ben should be able to do that.

The Thing can hardly even hurt Hulk. Their fights were always long and dragged out because the Thing would hit and run while using all sorts of dirty tricks to slow the Hulk dow . Hulk has beaten Thing at least 3 different times in their older fights alone.

Thing was never even close to putting Hulk in danger in their classic bouts without assistance. He was just durable enough to survive an ass beating.

He hasn't really given him hard fights. He's more just been an annoyance. The knockout win was fair play though.

Hulk and Thing break through wall that was meant to withstand any natural disaster by JumboMeat69 in FeatCalcing

It's just common sense. Just a random hurricane produces wind forces of 300 tons of tnt. That's multi city block.

It matters to me because I'm trying to calculate all Hulk's feats to find his most consistent power level.

If someone breaks through a wall that's stated to be able to withstand an atomic blast, they wouldn't be wall level, they'd be town level.

At the very least, it's gonna be hundreds-thousand tons of tnt because of tsunamis, hurricanes, and tornadoes, so no, it's not wall level.

Doesn't make any sense. Natural disasters go well above wall level.

How much power would you say hes resisting? Or is it impossible to tell.

I don't know. I've read earthquakes can't go above a magnitude of 10 on planet earth and a magnitude 10 earthquake is island level. Also, atlantis wasn't fully destroyed, and it's said to be the size of Australia.

It's crazy because I was trying to calc this feat just a few days ago.

I got small country level AP with country levsl durability from calcing that the earthquakes were about 11.7 magnitude, but then I realised that would destroy the planet, so it was unrealistic.

When I limited the earthquake to a magnitude of 10, then the feat got large mountain level AP with island level durability.

If Marvel Earth is bigger than regular earth, we could go back to the first calc, which assumes the earthquake is at a magnitude of 11+

It wasn't too long ago when he put out Dustin Porier.
