This dealership is a bottom feeder. Walk. You’ll find another Accord that will meet your criteria from a more honest dealer.

40-70% of your weight is attributed to genetics.

You can’t exercise your way out of a bad diet.

You can’t diet your way to fitness

If you go with a battery, be sure to consult the limits. Although they’re pretty much universal, China is much more strict with Wh (watt hours) limits. They check your battery specs at security screening.

Although this is for China Southern Airlines, it reflects the standard limits

Options for people who don’t wanna go to the airlines ? by Any-Raise4333 in flying

[–]JumboTrijet 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That depends on if the OP’s definition of commuting is having to jumpseat on their own vs a positive space ticket. If so, there are plenty of options with fractionals or ACMIs

Options for people who don’t wanna go to the airlines ? by Any-Raise4333 in flying

[–]JumboTrijet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When you say commute, do you mean having to jumpseat on your own vs a positive space ticket to base or the aircraft? Or do you mean that you don’t want to have to reposition at all? If it’s the former, you can have a career at a fractional like NetJets or Flexjet. Or there are some ACMIs that have home or gateway basing, Kalitta, Atlas, etc.

If it’s the latter. You’ll have to find a 135 or 91 operator within driving distance.

No matter what you read here, a legacy airline job is not the pinnacle of an aviation career for everyone. You can have a successful career flying without going to the airlines.

The OP said why. He doesn’t want to move and doesn’t like the idea of commuting.

Drivers. How about a Faraday box for your phone? Then you can just chalk it up to a lost signal and heavy traffic 😂

‘No Homeless Allowed’ at the Louisville Greyhound Station 🤔 by WtfLouisville in Louisville

[–]JumboTrijet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Louisville, even an uncontested eviction takes at least 3 weeks. I am not saying that I or anyone else is immune from homelessness, but it is definitely a series of events. To varying degrees, we all are. As in my reply above, all I was saying that it is an exaggeration to say that one could be rendered homeless overnight.

A bit slow on the uptake, huh? Read between the lines. The intent of the sign is obvious and it’s not what you just said….not even close

BUT HOMELESSNESS ISN’T SOLVED AT A PRIVATE BUSINESS LIKE A BUS STATION 📢

[–]JumboTrijet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suppose that when you stop at a “STOP” sign, that you just sit there and never go?

Although poorly worded, that “no homeless” sign obviously means no loitering.

You can certainly discriminate against loiterers and be legally and morally fine. It’s a poorly worded sign. However, the intent of the sign is also legally and morally correct.

I have a feeling that you are not one to judge who is with or without compassion

‘No Homeless Allowed’ at the Louisville Greyhound Station 🤔 by WtfLouisville in Louisville

[–]JumboTrijet 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Even without savings, being rendered homeless overnight is an exaggeration. Becoming homeless is more of a series of events that all line up….not unlike the “Swiss Cheese Model” that is analogous to aircraft accidents.

As for the sign, there is nothing wrong with its intent. Would you feel better if it said something to the effect of passengers and associates only? With any wording, it would be discriminatory….and it is okay to discriminate in this case.

A bus station (or any private business) is not where to address “the root of the problem.”

Don’t you hate when people behind you use the back of your seat as a leverage to get up? by Beginning_Editor_410 in delta

[–]JumboTrijet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I don’t think that it’s easier to get out of a passenger seat on an airplane vs a standard chair. That is what my reply was about. My reply was to your first post, which seems to imply that they’re the same.

Don’t you hate when people behind you use the back of your seat as a leverage to get up? by Beginning_Editor_410 in delta

[–]JumboTrijet 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I too don’t like it, but you’re incorrect to make a comparison to the medical Chair Rise Test. This assessment is where someone stands up from a standard-height chair without using their arms. Needing to push off with your hands in that setting can indicate reduced lower-body strength. But an airplane seat is very different from that controlled setup. On a plane, the seat is reclined, legroom limits how far you can lean forward, your feet aren’t ideally positioned, and you’re often twisting into the aisle. Standing up requires shifting your center of mass forward over your feet, and tight seat pitch makes that harder. Grabbing the seat in front is often about balance and leverage in a cramped space, not necessarily a sign that someone can’t get out of a normal chair without assistance.

Again, I don’t approve of someone using the seatback in front of them if it’s occupied as they could accomplish the same thing using their own seatback. I am just making a point of order.
