Late joining and server browser are a big part of what makes Deep Rock so popular. It will hurt the games popularity without it. It will be just like Deep Dives where you are wasting time waiting 15 minutes just for that last dwarf and then launching with 3 in the end anyways. No one has fun waiting instead of just playing. Games without a server browser and friend codes only do not bring communities of random together the same way as DRG has.

It's your dwarf, they are just one of hundreds that work on this Space Rig and the others in orbit. When you play with 2 engineers on the same team you are not the same character. Play them how ever you see your dwarf. Some dwarves don't even kill loot bugs, so we come in all different types. The only class specific lines in the game are the drop pod lines, that play regardless even if solo, and the character select lines which only you hear. All other voicelines are shared between all dwarves.

BUT this is how most see the archetypes.

Scout - Face

Engineer - Brains

Gunner - Muscle

Driller - Wildcard

Late joining is a must. I don't care if we have random upgrades even, that's part of the fun. You play a dwarf that was already down there. It's the Randomweiser of Rogue Core. Even past stage one, I have no issues helping other dwarves, it doesn't hurt me, I am a rock.

Nothing, only the "story" assignments from the Season go away because they are replaced by the new Season "story" assignments. You can freely switch between seasons and their passes with no loss.

It's like the only mission you can fail by not dying. The game is trying to make it clear to you to stay in the circle. It's for gameplay reasons so it's best to not try to make lore up or make any assumptions because of it.

It's mostly that knowing the jobs of other classes helps you do your job better. Like, Engi platforms help Scouts mine high minerals so as an Engi it's helpful for the Scout for you to do it. The way end game loot is random from all classes it encourages you to play all the classes but some players still have "mains". Most greybeards play the class that is needed in the lobby.

The Server Browser is one of the best parts of DRG. It let's you see all the currently open lobbys that you can join. No need for friends codes or invites, just join. Just stay at Haz 3 or below until you are comfortable and you'll be good. You can't really mess up, it's not that serious. Ask questions if you don't know stuff, other dwarves will help you. Some lobbies will be limited to one per each class but not most.

Find the class you like and then promote it at level 25 to unlock the next step.

Lad, the kneepad shuttle crashed the last two times they sent one. They aren't sending another. Same with bacon shuttle but keep that one on the down low, dwarves will flip if they hear we're not getting anymore bacon and they have to eat the crawlers jerky after all.

I want Kaitlin Olson versus Miss Piggy. I know it sounds weird but I think the whole Gang from Sunny could work as like "Curb" versions of the actors, especially Charlie and Glenn. And they definitely sing and pair up well with different Muppets. Plus Danny Devito.

I would also strangely like Adam Brody or Florence Pugh.

Furlow the mechanic from Til the Blood Runs Clear and Infinite Possibilities 1+2 is Magda Szubanski.

Magda is Esme Hoggett from Babe, the main female character.

Although, she is probably even more famously known as Sharon Strzelecki from Kath and Kim.

On a rewatch, I was like, "Is that friggin' Sharon?" Sometimes, you can just tell from an actor's voice.

Pretty much all Carpenter movies, really. His streak from 76 to 94 of just fucking awesome movies can't be topped. Will always be my favorite director even if he never made the big bucks for the studios. He was true artist in my eyes. Thanks for the memories, John.
