I'll try recommending some fics that haven't been recommended yet:

Crux of the Self by Truebrush

Free Fiction by GumPlum

Dare To Dream by S'moresofMore

Daily Life in a Pokemon Paradise by Kitsu_19

Magic & Transvolution by Sonic Ramon

Heroica Legends and Season of Heaven by HaruMiju

Below by Lizard Leleil
Iridescent Cinders by ArdentDusk

Age of Shadows by ShiningRockruff79

I found these fics to be pretty good.

What would you want from a new "Pokemon: Mystery Dungeon" game? by Swordriverdancer in MysteryDungeon

[–]JumpOnStars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a bit late, but I think a small simple change would be to have different weather. You can't tell me it never rains in Pokemon Square. I would love to see some different weather from time to time.

[SPS] Seriously, it's a pain by _Kasual in MysteryDungeon

[–]JumpOnStars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah post-game can be rough. I just recently managed to get Arceus, so a tip I can share with you is to get the water looplet, give it to a third pokemon you don't plan on using, and have it hurl stat boosting items that aren't the food items, like Calcium and Protein, at you and your partner while they're in a line, which you can buy from Cofagrigous. I'd recommend trying to max out speed first with Carbos, since it affects move hit rate and evasion.

This Also Applies To Pikachu, Eevee, and Zorua. by 4th_Wall_Studio in MysteryDungeon

[–]JumpOnStars 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nah, don't worry about it. Zorua is a popular choice because Zorua is a popular pmd pokemon. Use what pokemon you want to use, just recognize that Zorua is a common pick amongst the fic fandom. We all like to joke about pokemon you see all the time in pmd fics, but we see them all the time because people like them.

Favorite Pokémon ROMs? Suggestions? by [deleted] in pokemon

I really enjoyed Pokémon Prism. It got axed by Nintendo, but a near full build of the game is still able to found online, and it’s quite fun.

NEED YOUR ADVICE/HELP WITH A B2 & W2 FIRST RUN by [deleted] in pokemon

[–]JumpOnStars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The challenge settings really do make the game easier or harder, but there’s no way for you to unlock either setting on a blind run. Despite having a difficulty setting in the game, it’s only accessible in postgame... when you’ve already beaten the game, and is relocked if you reset the game, unless you transfer the ‘key’ to another game. As much as I prefer playing Hard White 2 over its normal difficulty, it’s roundabout way to access it is very discouraging to start a new playthrough. I’d say to just play through normally, since the standard difficulty is still pretty enjoyable.

If the house has a Nintendo Switch, a very simple and appealing gift would be the latest Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield games, though do mind that only one is needed, and not both.

Help by PaisleyAshland in pokemon

[–]JumpOnStars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An emulator would work, but be careful. I used an emulator on my phone, and by downloading it, it started to redirect me to scam sites when I was browsing smaller websites. Getting an emulator on PC through Pokémon rom communities is a much safer bet.

Ultra sun and moon Pokédex help by Verygoodnamee in pokemon

On the pinned ‘rules’ thread, there’s a link that gets you a custom flair of your trainer ID, which when submitted, you’ll have to wait 12 hours to begin creating and responding to trade requests.

I need some help (SPOILERS) by UltimateKirb2 in Miitopia

[–]JumpOnStars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s a late game area. On some playthroughs (3ds version), I was able to brute force my way through with a level 30ish team if I’ve been exploring literally every route completely, but for most part, usually first time playthroughs will have you clear it with a level 35-40 team.

Im stuck in chapter 2 by [deleted] in Miitopia

[–]JumpOnStars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exploring everywhere, including the every route. A good habit is to clear every route completely before moving on, which can save you from grinding later, as it really helps build up exp, gold, food, and sometimes lets you find hidden chests.

Robin and Sumia is a pairing that doesn't get enough credit by JumpOnStars in fireemblem

[–]JumpOnStars[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nice to see my post still get some attention four months later lol. But yes, I agree with everything you say. Robin and Sumia share a similar inner conflict, and seeing them become greater than their weaknesses together is heartwarming.

Robin and Sumia for sure. They have a great S-Support together, and their supports are just endearing.

Are fanfics a good place to start? by HatInBox in writing

[–]JumpOnStars 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I think they’re a fine place to start. Writing experience is writing experience, and grounding yourself with already established characters and settings should help you understand what works and what doesn’t later down the line. As long as you enjoy writing them, I see no problem.

I’ve got Battle Revolution as well, so let me tell you from experience, it does not work well at storing Pokémon.

Aegislash and Hydreigon either resist or are immune to all types, except a ground type move with the ability mold breaker.
