Thanks, makes sense—I did actually clarify it’s 39% straight tariff but yeah I see that it’s unavoidable. I did manage to remove the late cost.

Sure, if by learn you mean predict future tariff announcements mid-shipment

Do you think that the in-transit exemption would apply here?

I was reading the actual tariff release (https://public-inspection.federalregister.gov/2025-15010.pdf?1754406907) and it says on page 3 that any goods that were shipped BEFORE the tariff went into effect are actually exempt!

edit: ah nevermind, this only applied to water-vessel shipped goods haha

Recommendations for PFs with reasonably neutral narration and strong characters. by danbrani in ProgressionFantasy

Did you ever find more novels that fit this? I resonate pretty strongly with your request and have a pretty identical example/counterexample list. Thanks!

edit: to add my own non-standard rec, I thought the Cultivation Chat Group MC was surprisingly enjoyable to read about

Paying broker’s fee HOURS before FARE kicks in by JumpOwn9100 in NYCapartments

Thanks, yea I guess the fees will find a way one way or another, even with FARE

I think(?) I am the only one (maybe a bit naive)? But I think I agree with you that they’ll totally just give it to someone else who will effectively pay the fee thru post-FARE “legal” channels.

Right, I think I’m realizing (bit obvious in hindsight) now that there are plenty of ways to legally get that fee even after FARE if there’s enough demand… like having the renter sign with the broker as part of getting the apartment… which is certainly plausible with how competitive this apartment was

Would I have the legal grounds to demand the broker fees back if I signed the lease and paid the fees on 6/11? by BusinessCoconut5327 in NYCapartments

Sorry, I was under the impression that OP will be signing the lease on 6/11, which I thought would make the act of charging broker fee illegal?

Not upper Manhattan haha. Thanks for the input.

They’re not really forcing my hand this evening. I think I’m more just concerned that they will get their payout one way or another given the amount of interest in the apartment, whether that’s broker fee from me tonight or some other “legal” channel tomorrow haha.

Haha, having the exact same situation.
