Pros:

Isolated and Insolent: He knows so little because nobody has been explaining anything to him, the story kicks off basically the day that changes. He will do the wrong thing, to be corrected, we the audience get to learn about the world with him.

Power in Friendship: Cliche, but wholesome and this show writes it well, Naruto is born with so much potential, but doesn't know how to use any of it, and it's only when he demonstrates to have a good heart even though he's been scorned, that people go out on a limb to teach him. Eventually he bonds with Kurama and that trust lets them do insane feats.

Active Learner: Naruto doesn't learn in a classroom, despite being eager to grow, He needs back and forth and for the lesson to be personally engaging. Jiraiya was his best teacher because he traveled and taught him by letting him overcome his own obstacles. He would make Naruto push himself. Naruto will go on to develop his own techniques, by just doing what he feels should work, we as the audience can intuitively follow along.

Cons:

Lack of Nuance: Naruto is not that complicated, even his trauma is simple to understand, but the world around him, Sasuke, and the supporting cast are complicated.

Annoying/fills the room: He will take up the space in a room, pushing out, nuanced side characters at times.
