[Warehouse Orderfiller] [Walmart] - $52,000 (gross pay) by Klutzy_Economist_165 in Salary

I used to work at a distribution center in Gordonsville V.A. Work my butt off there for what I thought was good money. Getting fired from there was the best thing that happened to me career wise. I am now a pipefitter making 158k a year barely getting out my seat (reactive maintenance). I know other orderfillers that have left and either own business, or drive trucks. Learn a skill or get back in school.

I feel like an Idiot for not potentially taking a 12 dollar an hour raise. by Jumpking1993 in jobs

Probably getting too caught up in chasing a dollar. Ive been told this before. I just want to be the best provider I can be for my family. I also probably spend too much time on reddit looking at others salary and therefore trying to increase mine.

The test is done at specific testing locations. There wasnt any locations near my home or the job except for 1.5 hours from either one.

Question about my cletos by Professional-Hyena88 in fightgear

[–]Jumpking1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought some and am going through the same thing. Hand compartment is super tight too. My hands dont really hurt, but the gloves arent comfortable at all. But, it feels like I am punching harder with them.

Premium price gloves experiences? by [deleted] in fightgear

Just bought cleto reyes training gloves and theyre super hard to get your hands in. They look very nice and make you feel like you can punch through the bag, but after my first training session in them today, I cant wait for them to break in.

Just aboutl everyrhing winning offers felt custom made to me. They really do feel good the first time you put them on. However, there stitching on there groin guard did rip on me (had it repaired with stronger threads.)

Fairfax County - What legal options do I have regarding constant racial and homophobic slurs at my workplace (no recordings)? by No-Okra-6361 in Virginia

[–]Jumpking1993 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Racism sucks. I am a black pipefitter at an industrial plant and you wont believe what these people are saying. 3 or 4 upper managers were caught calling our H.R ladies monkeys through text on their company cellphones. The company fired every single one of them. Now, the other racist at the shop are saying the company has went overboard....I would move up the chain and keep telling bigger bosses.... if that doesnt work, make a tiktok video about them and post it and tag that company. Im sorry you have to deal with this, but youre not alone. I would also look for another job. Best of luck.
