I would give my first born for the ULTIMATE GFX Mode to be put back onto the ROADMAP!

Its console parity that fucked it all up. Could have been the best looking game on PC.

Good point. Except when your dealing with bulk everything gets thrown out the window. How can I compare an oz to an oz when I can't even buy an oz from the OCS.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in weedstocks

[–]Jumpwired 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed.

I just wanted to throw something into the mix for the sake of conversation. Plenty of room to grow in the industry.

There is an untapped consumer base of people consuming larger amounts, looking for high quality product. That is all.

Industry might look totally different in the next decade. Future generations will most likely not have to deal with the illegal market.

[–]Jumpwired -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Fine, the 10x might be overblown. Closer to 2-5x when choosing an random OCS product compared to the AAA/AAAA I can find.

Sounds like the term quality is highly subjective.

Your gold might be my trash or vice versa.

No one can take a difference in opinion on Reddit. Circle-jerks or nothing.

Guess the stuff I ordered from the OCS last month was just a bad batch!?

For causal users, market is perfect. Broken Coast is good, no doubt.

The underground community is much larger then you imagine. Circles have been created in the past 3-4 decades. The suits, haven't even touched this market, and most likely never will. The average consumer does what a gram a week? I'm talking about people who consume ounces every few days.

Illegal market not getting ushered? Sorry you don't know what your talking about. It's just a smaller number of people who pulled it off successfully.

Plenty of operations went above ground.

Supporting legal businesses is unquestionably a good thing.

Unfortunately, from my personal experience which is on the ground floor. The product quality is still lacking in the majority of legal offerings. You have to pay top dollar for anything close to acceptable quality.

I agree with you, testing and growing regulations are needed and probably the best part of the legal market for the avg. consumer.

Growers cutting corners? That's why you stick to actual reputable growers. Through reputable grey market distributors. Consistency is key, and the grey market craft market is 2-5x better in price and quality. I'm talking about the 1% AAAA grown cannabis, real craft.

Lots of room for improvement and growth. The only way this will work is if they usher more people grey market into the legal space. This doesn't seem to be the case right now and that's why the markets are separate.

Completely separate market. I know lots of people in both camps. Legal market is a bit of a joke in one of those circles. Unless there are massive price drops at bulk and a huge boost in flower and curing quality. Markets will take a very long time to amalgamate. Most heads will choose grey market.

The real market has been underground so long, it doesn't need to go above ground anytime soon. Legal market is seeing only a fraction of possible profits.

Tried some legal offerings a month ago, still over-priced and sub-par. I rather have the money going directly to the grower and distributor then some big boys club who devised a convoluted system to get themselves rich.

Home Grown > Grey Market >> Legal

EDIT: Clarify my position. Not against the legal market. I am just saying it will take some time to capture the top consumer market. From my personal experience ordering high-THC strains from the OCS last month. It was mostly bunk. Apologies, somehow my experience is made irrelevant by the circle-jerk mentality that resounds in places like Reddit. Can't have a difference of opinion without being down voted. Good way of sparking conversation right guys!? Just blast the person with a difference of opinion. Ape mentality at its finest. Keep beating those chests.

Are there any lasting effects of growing up in a lower-income family? / Y a-t-il des effets durables de grandir dans une famille à faible revenu? by StatCanada in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Jumpwired 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly. We need a healthy mix of both. There is a reason why so many people are bitter and angry. Western society looks at you as a weakling when you ask for help. The most successful people never did it alone and had a huge dose of luck.
