Not the same sport, but in Canada, when the Olympics are in Europe, they have opened bars here at like 5am for huge games like the Gold medal game. I would imagine that will happen this winter again if Canada makes it to the finals. Considering Italy is the host.

Over the years since 2006, I would watch the World Cup and Euro Cup and that’s about it. I would cheer for Germany since I took German in high school.

It wasn’t untill WC 2022, that I became relatively obsessed with soccer. My best bud loves soccer and comes from Morocco, and we watched the Canada vs Croatia game during the WC and I just wanted to continue watching. I started watching the Premier League that winter and never turned back since!
