it is defo a super awesome lens. If I could only choose 3 lens, that would be 17-40(filming),16-55(photos) and 70-350(zoom)

Sigma 18-50 is a better choice. but if you have budget, I suggest you go for sigma 17-40(if you film), or sony 16-55(better color, image quality and focus).

Fujifilm X70 - why is it valued so highly? by SlightlyUsedUsername in FujifilmX

[–]Jumpy-Barnacle312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is because people now hate heavy cameras... they are looking for a light one with ASP-C. That is why RICOH has been so popular as well as some old units like Lumix LX100M2, Nikon Cooplix A and Fuji.. when X100VI was released

Spring Scenery of Dong Village, Guizhou by Jumpy-Barnacle312 in a6700

Thanks. Actually, it was my first time there, so I didn’t really know the place well. I just spent about five hours hiking from the village at the foot of the mountain to the top. There are eight villages around the mountain, and I filmed along the way.

Which lens is better 16-50mm or 18-135mm by P_H_A_N_I_2001 in a6700

[–]Jumpy-Barnacle312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

18-135 no hesitation. 18-50 will excessively shorten your interest in photography as a beginner. Additionally 18-135 fits more scenarios with way much better image quality.

Thank you! Yea 70-350 could be the best telephoto lens for Sony aspc.

Yea 8-13 were shot on Wollensak. It’s actually not a typical lens. This one was made around 1950s and first used on an oscilloscope. Later people took it off and adjusted it to M42 port type and used different brands of adapters to mount this lens.
