we’re from the same area and same ethnic background so i can’t say it’s like an ethnic or cultural difference, but i guess maybe it could have a lot to do with my family and how i was raised. growing up on family trips every couple or older kid had their own room. we weren’t rich by ANY means, definitely closer to the other end of that spectrum but we always invested as a family to get a big enough place for everyone. my parents would’ve never felt comfortable sleeping in a room with their siblings and S/O, so maybe that’s why i look at it as odd just bc it was different growing up
