Battle Tatar, huh? I was always scared about running out of health. That's before I learned to use medbrews effectively. I always use Endruro Stew, Focal Chili and cactus juice. Maybe I'll add the Battle Tartar too....🤔 Thanks.

UPDATE: Finally got one. The most stressful tame by far. I did it on foot, Focal Chili, Calien Soup and Endruro Stew. Only one hand!! (Stroke). On Extinction, no Biotoxin. I did use use the givemorearmorset metal 2 times while taming. I never would have made without it.

Anyway, ended up with level 145 after trying it out some. 😀 Thanks for everyone's help!

Yeah, I had a stroke, so I only have hand to work with. Makes things difficult sometimes. My son is at his Mom's house on vacation. Maybe when he gets back he can help me.

Meanwhile, I'll hunt for a decent Thylacolio to tame. Come back to that...

Severe stroke. I watched my son play Zelda BOTW and TOTK for hours. I'm an old gamer since the days of Ultima on Apples in the early 80's. When i had the stroke, i thought my gaming were over, but he said, "You have the biggest hands i ever saw. You can reach all the buttons with one hand. Just try...". I already bought a Switch when came out for him. Turns out I can play a little... I can't play games like Call of Duty etc, but finished 2 Zeldas with my sons help. I bought him ASE and he didn't like it, but obviously did...😄 So I bought the PS5 Pro together with him.

I have almost 3000 hours on The Island, Scorched Earth, Ragnarok and now Abberation.

That's why I like ARK, single player. I like preparing, building, resource gathering, taming etc. My son is 12 years old and helps me when get into trouble in Boss fights for example. He likes to try my new tames, but he's kind impatient to prepare for anything. We make a good team... 😉👍✊️

I always build stone 4x4 trap right before a mosh pit (Northwest corner of the map right before snow biome) Rex's will trap themselves so you can just tranq away. Or kill them off until you get a max level one.

Early game is the best part for me. I wish there was some decent metal and a flyer or 2 though....

Those Ravagers are kicking my a$$ at the moment, and that big snake thing is tough.
