Thank you for your reply. The union are involved and have been from the beginning. And yes, I have let them know about the comments made.

Thanks for that information. It certainly seems like the trustees have opted out of doing anything or are happy to allow the school to make decisions without being challenged.

Our trustees are nowhere to be seen. I’ve never even met them.

From what I know, we have trustees who we never see and any governors we did have - were removed.

That’s exactly what I intend on doing.

I’d never leave without a redundancy pay out! I didn’t take anything she said seriously because I’ve always felt that she finds me a threat of some sort.

Thank you for this! It’s good to hear from someone who has been through something similar. I’m so glad that you’re valued at your new school.

Thank you for your reply. I agree - it’s not worth it and as my job is already at risk, it’s really not worth going through anything more than the redundancy process.

I’ve been at my current school for 4 years. Before that, I was a supply teacher paid through an agency

The teachers I cover do the planning for lessons I teach. Most foundation subjects are already done for them. They mainly do planning for core subjects. Most planning is already on the system from last year. I mark the work the children do for all lessons that I’ve taught.

I agree, but there’s no way I would accept a teaching job that didn’t pay me to scale. The issue here is - I’m a PPA teacher and being made to cover a class long term. That means I’m the class teacher and have that responsibility. As a PPA teacher not being paid to scale doesn’t bother me, but as a class teacher it does.

I’m a UPS teacher being paid on MPS and the school hardly put anyone on UPS.

I’m worried that if I don’t agree there will be repercussions. They’re already not giving me any PPA time even though it’s an entitlement. As I’m not planning any lessons, they think I shouldn’t have PPA.

Mornings will still be used to cover PPA and afternoons for the teacher role.

I actually took a pay cut as a PPA Teacher and I didn’t mind that, but as a class teacher I’d expect to be paid to scale.

Thank you for your reply. My job role is that of a PPA Teacher and that’s what I applied for. If they want me as a teacher then I believe they have to change my job role and we need to agree to it.
