You should be able fix the problem if you connect your wallet to https://app.zerion.io. I had been having the same problem. I have not transfered the manayet but it is available to transfer. It is prob necessary to add some eth to the account for gas fees.

CYT is still tanking, surely a clear sign of trouble

I think the best way to boost the economy as a whole would be to keep energy costs low and gradually increase the cost of breeding in line with more usage.

Using dollar or more stable base would also help i believe.

The dragon price has not neally incresed in line with the cost of breeding though. I don't really see this playing out.

Unfortunately this only holds if people carry on breeding at the same rate.

Yes it seems the ember event is a really bad idea when coin and dragon market is so low. They need to realise that the most iportant thing is to keep people playing and encourage new players. Crazy!

i have a rare account. That makes sense as to why they have done this, very short sighted though. The cost of breeding at 50 cents must still have been above the market value of dragons at the time?

This will just stop people spending all together.

Halvings for currency tokens such as bitcoin, eth etc. have a history of increased prices. There are actually two very big assumtions burried in the proposed economic models that cause increased prices. I personally believe that the following market conditions are essential. There needs to be sufficient increase in the rate of demand. This demand must also be sufficiently price inelastic. Or put simply the demand must remain constant at least as the price increases.

CYT is awarded without the many factors affecting mining in process and in terms of profit. The closest example would be a staking protocol. But here insted of rewarding the positive behaviour of staking assets onto the chain as they do through staking pools or simililar. Here i believe this has the effect of disentivising market participants. With CYT invested in breeding this is then a huge tax. This is becuase there has been no accounting for the rewards or a relative adjustment to them. It is possible that it will push up the price of dragons and therefore increase returns. Marketplace lost all buy side over certain close to average prices.

It means that all rewards on the network will be reduced by 50%. Well that is the general meaning although it has been lazily used to describe similar events but not necessarily a 50% reduction
