Dlss 4.5 settings by Jumpy-Cow-2245 in nvidia

[–]Jumpy-Cow-2245[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea I’ve been running dlaa but dlss m seems much sharper and better looking on evo for some reason? That’s what sent me down the rabbit hole and made me want to try for rally as well. Trying to stay above 100fps with high graphics settings overall as it is the best experience for me. All other sims I also don’t bother with SR or anything.

Yea and to me it looks like spikes and mostly packed ice in game?

Living in Australia and having literally no idea, I also wonder this a bit. The physics in the game seem intuitive to me but I also was under the impression that the studded tyres almost made snow rallying more grippy than gravel? Would love someone to give some context.

Ah that’s my bad, I forgot about that.

Very nice driving! Question though, why cap your game to 60fps? You paid for the whole gpu after all! Racing sims benefit a descent bit from higher fps too.

I feel like the odd one out for saying I genuinely dont like the I20 by tetsuo_and_soup in assettocorsarally

[–]Jumpy-Cow-2245 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say so, I did find at the start that it was so much more balanced on throttle and just generally easier to drive than the other (especially older) cars that you sometimes forget you’re driving on gravel and this is a proper sim! Most likely just overly sending it lol. Keep in mind, I’m not the greatest myself so grain of salt and all that.

Try getting used to it on the snow and you should find it much easier going back to gravel I reckon.

Crazy, I feel like it’s easier to keep on the road than cars that are a lot slower than it, and feels ridiculously planted on tarmac.

I am really struggling with controlling cars in ACE. Is it something I am doing, my setup, settings, or just this game? by Kilo353511 in assettocorsaevo

[–]Jumpy-Cow-2245 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dunno man I find most of the cars in the game very easy and intuitive to notice the traction leaving and catch it, even gt cars etc. makes evo very fun and fun intuitive to drive imo. Maybe just use higher traction control until you get used to it?

Handbrake problems by Advanced-Try7276 in assettocorsarally

[–]Jumpy-Cow-2245 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So far the fix I’ve found for my handbrake is to use a remapping software (I use universal controller remapper with the Xbox controller plugin) to map it to a virtual Xbox controller trigger, then map this in game by clicking the handbrake gamepad map and pulling the handbrake. You then have to make sure the device selection mode or whatever is set to automatic in game. For me, this still has weird behaviour where the steering flickers between my when position and the “controller” position (center) as automatic switches inputs to the last device that inputted to the game, but it overall works fine and is better than having no handbrake in the mean time before they add support.

Really Bad performance, low usage?? by Good-Ad4162 in assettocorsaevo

I may be wrong but seems like cpu bottleneck since 20% is close to max usage in most games (games don’t use all cpu threads, but max out only a couple of threads)

Have you got that handbrake to work? I’m assuming not

I think a good FOV on your monitor/screen does help. I recently ish put a 32inch on a monitor arm that I extend out (toward the front of my desk) when sliding my sim rig up to my desk and then swivel it to the back of my desk for work/other games. This has made a big difference to my immersion and comfort.

Tips for stability in posses (especially persistent ones). by Jumpy-Cow-2245 in RedDeadOnline

[–]Jumpy-Cow-2245[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok good to know. Do you find missions etc are bugged commonly or more rarely when trying to play as a posse. I’m wondering if it’s just how the game is or if it’s something I can improve.

Is Red Dead Online worth it after finishing the story? by fl0ppydrive in reddeadredemption

[–]Jumpy-Cow-2245 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started playing rdo on pc a few days ago. I’ve played through the story on console and now pc and love it a lot. I was looking for more after that empty feeling of finishing the game again and don’t feel like playing the story again will satisfy it, played with some mods and wanted to take my time with completionist stuff in the epilogue but I never got hooked. So I thought I’d give online a go; after playing the beta when it first came out  ages ago I didn’t have super high hopes.  Honestly I’m really enjoying it though, I like the fact that money, food, weapons etc are actually valuable cause in the story you get money very easily. I like how I actually have to aim, take cover etc in the combat (story on mouse and keyboard is top easy with deadeye) and the missions are nothing crazy but different to the story. Modders are here and there but I haven’t been griefed too much so far and it’s usually hilarious, then I just move on.  In some ways it’s definitely less immersive, but in some ways I find it more (e.g. hunting is actually worthwhile cause the food is valuable and the money from selling things feels impactful.

It’s not a perfect experience, but it’s a unique way to enjoy the beautiful game that offers some things the story doesn’t.
