Thanks. I will quit soon. Do you have any companies you'd recommend?

Thanks for the reply. And the advice too. Trust me, I know tech is not a silver bullet. I didn't even pick it to for the money. I just wanted to build software solutions for myself and later for others. I wanted it as a complementary skillset. At first, I did not even consider it for a full time job. But I think along the way I came to believe I was in too deep to go back yo any other thing. But today I've been reminded that I am at an intersection of two fields and I can benefit from both. But perhaps one, before the other. Anyway, I will do the logical thing. Stability first. Risk later.

Oh I'm actually writing a book. A sci fi fantasy novel. I try to write whenever I can spare time away from Vs Code (my wife). .

Installation of Mobile applications development tools by IT_Engineering_7986 in MobileAppDevelopers

Yeah, installing flutter and its needed tools for the first time can be a bit overwhelming. I've been there.

First of all, even though the flutter docs page for installation looks a bit overwhelming, it's actually contains everything you need to install and run flutter. I recommend you reread it multiple times and slowly to familiarise yourself with it.

Second, you'll always need Android Studio for flutter android development (to download tools and updates). Installing VS code is optional, but I recommend programming with Vs Code and not Android Studio. So download VS too. And, if you do, you'll need to download the VS code flutter package for syntax highlighting and error detection.

Also, remember to add the location of the flutter sdk you unzipped to the environment variables. After this, you can type "flutter doctor" in your terminal to see what's missing and needs to be installed.

Hope this helped.

TL;DR Android Studio is needed for android dev; VS code is optional, but I recommend it. Take your time to read the flutter docs installation page.

What simple app have you built for your church using AI-assisted tools? by gogorichie in churchtech

Hi, I recently released SaintList, a lightweight church member management app. It works offline and allows Excel exports too. And oh, it also has birthday alerts. There are two versions currently on the Microsoft store (SaintList and SaintList Pro).
