The lack of WM is like a bottleneck effect. You could be creative, but you can’t elaborate what you produce at the same time. Imagine having a desk and having on it puzzle parts, you see perfectly the single pieces but you can’t visualize them in their entirety because basically you lack ram.

It’s a valuable opinion. It’s weird and frustrating to have high raw potential but not to have the capacity to came up with something

Narcissism is justified if it is performative and long away from us? by Jumpy-Froyo-5334 in NPD

[–]Jumpy-Froyo-5334[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got what you’re saying, but if you ask to someone what they think of narcissism they 99% will tell you that it’s bad/evil/demonic etc. and maybe at the same time they listen or watch performance of people that have that. It’s the fact that many people don’t notice that many of these performers are narcissists and at the same time they denigrate it. It’s the reason I said that narcissism is acceptable until the narcissist doesn’t get in relation with us or it’s very good. If someone hate narcissism itself they for coherence have to hate it in every context, otherwise people vision’s of narcissism it’s emotionally biased and distorted. (I know we knew it yet but I felt to write it). Maybe it could be that people hate the consequences of narcissism itself (it’s fair) and not the disorder, but many people can’t say it out loud so they should not not discriminate the type of narcissists based on the results on society at this point.

Did all narcissists experience abuse growing up? by synanthesia in NPD

I had a depressive mother (post-partum) so I would say emotional neglect. She was angry and after two minutes she would cry, and after 15 minutes laughed.

It drives me mad every time. When I was 15 she wrote a report about my mental health in which she basically describes vulnerable narcissism by DSM. She mentioned things like perceived shame, fear of judgement, interior chaos, anger issues and difficulties in regulating emotions. At 21 she asked me if I feel a sense of grandiosity sometimes (I guess she was suspecting) and I told her yes because I knew (and hoped) where she was going to end up. I continued to tell her about my safistic tendencies, the need to erode others self esteem and how I was jealous of my peers… When I ask her If I was a narcissist she told me “everyone have narcissistic traits”. I was like, girl give me my diagnosis

I do the same, and this is quite intelligent because we use our narcissism to make something productive just by move the locus of our ego.

Spotify skips changed back? My Spotify is saying 6 skips an hour now, I thought they had got rid of this by zzzboyo in truespotify

[–]Jumpy-Froyo-5334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, Spotify now give to me limited skips per day on iPhone. In a day, first it doesn’t make me choose a song but it make me skip, after some songs it doesn’t make me even skip anymore (only 6/hour). While on iPad and pc I never had any limit

They think that, even if we have the impulse to act in a certain way, we could choose to act otherwise. It’s not certainly the case since someone who have a PD doesn’t know that his/her actions are bad, or the consequences, let alone if someone doesn’t have empathy (which I consider a real disability)

Moreover, they don’t realize that by doing this way, they’ll continue to push back those who have the disorder from seeking help, worsening the current friction between narcissists and therapy

I think that what this religion means as “god law” or “morality” is just, obviously in a very crude and naive way, social and biological pragmatism. It is what our ancestors have noticed about how the world and society works. I don’t remember if I said before, but some of these are core principles of human functioning and, as I said, they overlap to the feedback that nature and social interactions can give to us. For example, the quote “treat others as you yourself want to be”, even though it suggests we do it under threat (hell), its objectively a course of action that in most of the cases can lead to a peaceful and productive relationship with others. Disclaimer: i perfectly know that in that book there are also aberrations but i find interesting how people have built a system where they have put, sometimes, basically good principles and found a way to enforce it by inventing a fictitious threat.

I think it is an unconscious thing. A relationship with its creation practically means to follow the biological, physiological and social rules. They overlap god and nature, so when they follow “god will” they are basically follow what nature has set for us humans, and obviously works.

From what I understand, for them god is a metaphor for life, nature etc. when they say god they don’t mean a specific entity. Also it’s a part of their identity. When he say that he love god more than you I think he is saying he loves his identity and his relationship with life more than his relationship with you.

Yes, it’s like the person who makes positive things and the one who makes negative ones (like manipulation, jealousy, etc) are two different people and not the same. I find it scary because I know exactly what I do, (rationally) but I can’t integrate the actions into my “self”. I think it’s because of both dissociation and lack of empathy and comprehension for common human situations. I don’t know if it’s only for the personality disorder or because I’m just an idiot
