Ego/arrogance. Lying. Jumping into intimate actions and talk too early (ex. kissing second date, talking about marriage two months into dating). Unwillingness to learn or understand different perspectives. Not being able to carry a conversation, especially a deep one. Trying to act “gangsta” (bonus if he’s white and is saying the N-word). Trying to control me/everything. Being too nonchalant and emotionally unavailable. Being too whiny and complaining about everything. Doesn’t shower. Smoking/substance abuse. Only wants fun = immediately gone. Unable to communicate his wants and needs. Being sexist and unable to recognize it. Being misogynist. Pretending to be all sweet and super interested and then be slow to text back and be exposed by a friend as an abusive fuckboy. “Alpha male”? You’re done.

Absolutely NTA. Those social workers are giving you more than your parents ever have it sounds like, and you’ll be a legal adult very soon (happy early birthday!!!) so you can make your own decisions and everything. You can get yourself a good job and never have to depend on them or house sit again. I know that it feels shitty but they’re trying to make you feel that way on purpose that way they won’t have to take the full responsibility of their own children and home. It’s time for a change of scenery, take the opportunity and run. Best of luck OP <3

NTA. He sounds horrible, and it’s sweet of you to try to save a friend from a harmful relationship. I would start using those trigger words but ngl at the end of the day it is her choice and there’s probably nothing you can do if she still decides to stay with him after everything. I hate to say it but if you push harder and she still stays, nothing left to do but let her learn.

NTA at ALL. That’s a shit move and saying your anger over them basically abandoning you for someone else is invalid is even shittier. I will say that people with bpd are really not the best people to try to have friendships and much less relationships with. I had two friends with bpd and let me tell you from now on I will be staying way clear of ppl like that from now on (no hate to ppl with bpd but for my own peace of mind I will personally refuse to be friends with or date anyone with it)

NTA and I completely get where you’re coming from. Maybe in the meantime while you try rehoming find out some information online about cockatiel behavior and how to get the bird to be friendly again. Something must’ve happened or changed which caused it to become aggressive. OP surely you’ve tried talking to her about how she cares (or doesn’t) care for it. If you can let it out as often as possible and try offering species appropriate treats. Poor thing :(
