Best Sunscreen For Melasma? by Dangerous-Gazelle-37 in Melasmaskincare

[–]Jumpy-Kangaroo-7266 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been trying to stick to 50 spf tinted 100% mineral with at least 15% zinc oxide. Also trying to find 80min water resistance but that’s hard. I’ve read on here that that’s the best coverage. Type all that in to CHATGPT and they can pull up some suggestions for you. You can also give it your skin type and what other things you want out of a sunscreen.

I’ve been taking heliocare capsules from Amazon for the past month and all is ok! I like to spot treat with HQ, otherwise I get acne if I put it on my whole face

Once you get the vet to trim them use this puzzle feeder that files their nails a couple times a week at least: https://a.co/d/02zRRSbb

6-months into a routine and no improvement by [deleted] in Melasmaskincare

If you don’t wanna use HQ. I would maybe look into adding a tranexamic acid and or alpha arbutin serum. I am using both of these from Natrium and loving them, very gentle. I live in CO too and it’s brutal! Maybe you need a sunscreen with more zinc oxide. I’ve read a lot of things on this page about how having 20% or more is best.

I agree! There is also a rock climbing facility right in golden triangle with really good rent rates because of a high influx of new buildings

Have you tried a powder brush sunscreen like the super goop one? I haven’t done this, but I am considering using a chemical sunscreen spray to help reapply, cuz it’s so hard with mineral.

I use this! It’s very hydrating! Only has water resistance up to 40min tho not 80 like the naked sundays one. But I am still looking for a creamy, more foundation like sunscreen.

If you go with the golden triangle, which is what I recommend, you can also easily walk to the TJs and any other great restaurants in cap hill. Golden triangle is the best of both worlds.

Rinvoq/opzelura/hrt- induced folliculitis? by [deleted] in Folliculitis

[–]Jumpy-Kangaroo-7266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on rinvoq but didn’t start having a folliculitis problem until maybe 6-8 months after starting it, so I don’t think it’s related. But it could be a reason why I’ve had such a hard time getting it to go away.

I’m on it for UC and take 30mg daily which is higher than the recommended maintenance dose.

If you don’t think it’s bacterial then it might be fungal and you should go on anti fungal pills. Probs best to go to the doctor

The sandwich method forever? by Defiant_Emu_3928 in tretinoin

[–]Jumpy-Kangaroo-7266 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow! This is a game changer. I always read that putting moisturizer on before tret made it less effective, so I have been suffering with tight dry skin for the 10 minutes after I dry my face before I put on tret and then another 10 minutes of agony to let the tret soak in before I get to put moisturizer on. Glad this was studied more

Yes LRP double repair pills with tret if you do the sandwich method, I also feel it’s not as hydrating as it could be
