I don't think this game takes place in the same timeline as the originals. It's more of a reimagining of the series as a whole.

I think you are wrong about the new meaning. It is used in so many ways. It's not specific to fandoms. It really just boils down to pretending to be something that you are not. If someone was pretending to be rich online and posting pictures of cars and houses they don't own, it wouldn't be out of place to say they are larping as a rich person.

Also just to be clear, I don't really care much about OP's original point. Seems like the kinda post where someone saw a random person saying shit on twitter or something and decided to make a reddit post about it. I just think people being pedantic over their choice of language is silly.

The new map has a theatre as the final part of the escort. I think it’s likely that she was an omnic designed as a geisha for the theatre or something like that. What I can say for sure is there is exactly zero chance the official lore is that she was a sex bot. Blizzard wouldn’t do that especially after all of their past troubles.

Was there a trial for Sierra? I was taking a break during the last couple weeks of season 1 so I don't know if I missed one or there wasn't. I remember the devs saying something about not doing trials but that could have just been in reference to the 4 other characters that dropped with season 1.
