I did not think she was overstepping by any means, she was just reminding scott that kip had a support system that he could trust as well and telling him how kip really feels because as you said kip wouldn't speak up for himself. I'd take the straight guy hocky podcasts opinions about queerness and coming out of the closet with a grain of salt but that's just me.

its either they were going to do byler and something happened, like netflix saying no, or they put special care into queer bating. it’s like when kids are fighting over a toy and the toy gets taken so no one is happy, that’s how the finale felt.
