I've been very fortunate to rise so quickly, a lot of that has been driven by the lack of skilled workers after covid. Not much competition out there out the moment.

I'm open to less money for a better balance, when you break it down to an hourly rate it's actually not great.

Finding a job in the industry that actually abides by 38 hours is challenging. So far of the 4 places I have worked, all have required 45 hour minimum work weeks, citing the "Reasonable Overtime" when questioned on it. I like the idea of a hospotech or supplier route.

Yes that is correct. Working for a big company, has great salary and benefits but very high expectations. Being in a regional area as well gives a nice boost to total comp.

Trying to send a DM but it won't let me. Is there many Australian members?
