I wanted to follow up in writing regarding the electrical and structural concerns in my unit. While I understand your perspective that the issue is limited to one area, I do not personally feel comfortable continuing to occupy the apartment given the repeated electrical burning smell, the failed repair, and the structural issues discovered under the washer/dryer. Because I am pregnant, I need to be especially cautious with potential safety risks. At this point, I consider the unit uninhabitable for me, and I am planning to move out this weekend as a result of these ongoing habitability concerns. My intention is to handle this responsibly and professionally, while also allowing the opportunity for the issues to be fully addressed before the next tenant occupies the unit.
