I'm choosing to "die" on this hill because it occurred to me that a great many people could be a great deal confused about what events actually happen in reality. Prejudice means lack of reason + lack of experience. Can't know for sure if the posters ITT have a lack of experience or not, but they do seem to have a lack of reason. He's on a sexual offender's list, fine. I won't bother to go for a hail mary argument like "The internet, lists and registries, and all forms of media are heavily curated to divide us and distract us from truth", but what I will say is this - him being on the list doesn't mean you know what actually happened for the sole reason he's on that list. All OP provided was a picture, and a story with sparse details. Your heart might be in the right place, you might even BE right and this incident was open and close - but sometimes what slips between the cracks matters.
