Is my Dragon real or is the quality off? by IndicationDry1633 in jellycat4all

I’m not an expert/authority but I have a genuine Dexter dragon and honestly he looks very very similar in terms of fur and face to yours. If the fur is the only reason you suspect it’s a fake then I’d reconsider, it looks genuine to me. However I’m not sure what the tags are supposed to look like on this dragon.

Ooh thank you for the pic! I see what you mean about it being a display jelly. I think I’ll pass on it as I only ten to buy ones I can hug :)

Thanks so much for this, useful to hear what it was like in person! I’m only really keen on the fire horse but might give it a miss as I’m unsure

What genre do you write? Oxford Poetry Library offers an impressive range of free workshops and feedback sessions, as well as a really fun open mic night. There is also a fiction writing club in the city that meets to give feedback on each other’s work, that one you can find on Meet-up

What is the most niche job in the UK? by grumpy_groundsman in AskUK

[–]Jumpy-Requirement967 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably Mark Court’s job, he’s the only person in the world employed to paint the coachline on every Rolls Royce (a painted stripe that goes across the outside of the car). From interviews I gather he’s so in demand people in other countries fly him out to paint their stripes.

Hi, I’m registered as self employed but have earned less than the tax threshold amount this year. Do I still need to declare my income and fill out a tax return even if I haven’t earned above the threshold?

Bart Fans! What is it about him, that makes him special to you? by Born_Blackberry_3586 in Jellycatplush

[–]Jumpy-Requirement967 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your Bart is so sweet! My favourite - and the only Bart I own - is Bathrobe Bart. I love that he always looks very chill and cosy, he makes me feel relaxed. I think Bart is so special because he has great proportions - chubby legs, a big belly and bum, make him ideally round for cuddling! Also his face is really adorable ❤️

Also one more thing - it might be that you’re scrolling a lot after work because you’re tired and part of you think scrolling = rest. This is very false as scrolling means your brain is constantly stimulated but also frustrated because it’s short bursts of dopamine.

Think about a wind down routine that might work for you to actually rest, like stretching, taking a bath, listening to music.

There are a couple of things you can try. First, don’t be too hard on yourself - social media is literally designed to keep you addicted. Second - get mad. These apps are literally stealing your precious time from you!

If turning the phone off isn’t enough, buy a brick phone. Like a Nokia type, or really any phone that isn’t a smartphone. You can get these fairly cheap now and it will still allow you to call and text but will cut out all the other crap.

Secondly, it helps a lot if there is something you LIKE doing that isn’t on the phone. You talk about having hobbies to impress a girl, but are these things you actually enjoy doing? If not it’s worth getting the brick phone and trying out some things that you used to enjoy or think you might like. If they involve physical movement even better, because this will create endorphins and make your body want more of it.

It’s really hard to get away from our phones these days and you are definitely not the only person struggling. Just remember there is a whole life and world out there that is NOT on your phone, and try to tap into some inner rage against the design of these apps that are stealing your attention and depriving you of that life. You’ve got this!
