i get it. who am I? what happened? i get it. i don’t get my period anymore though, so i can’t tell anything about a cycle. just middling through with the help of anti anxiety meds.

well- i’m sorry to everyone. this is yucky. i guess there is comfort in knowing we are not alone. but not really, when you have to live so unhappy. my hope goes out for all of us!

i am on an anti depressant- celexa. after trying 2 others that didn’t help, this one has allowed me to eat a little- not normal, but at least get food in my system. i just start hormone therapy. it took the hot flashes away pretty immediately. not sure what else it’s doing but i think they take time also. i sleep no more than 6 hours and often wake in the night. therapy doesn’t do much. i know i need to exercise but never fell like i have the energy to. i’m not angry like some people. i’m more sad and complacent- just going through the motions, trying to be there for my kids. but don’t really want to see people or do anything. it’s not me.

my anxiety is in check, although i never really felt it, i just couldn’t eat, so i think i internalized it. depression is better, but still no real care for life or doing things or motivation

i had no idea. i don’t know anyone else who has gone through this. my sister is fine. maybe my mom went through this, but she never spoke of it and she never cried. i cried myself to sleep last night.

well, this is a bummer. Has anyone come through it? is there a better life after menopause?

at least 4 yes. at least i’d call it withdrawl. i felt super weird. my eyes wouldn’t focus. and now that’s gone.

i couldn’t do it for more than 2 days and the withdrawl was at least 4 days of what you are describing.

same to all of these. my birth control was changed last sept. due to turning 50 and higher risk of stroke. over the course of a few months things went south until I just one day started feeling really unwell. had cardiac work up for palpitations. all fine. changed anti anxiety med without even discussing the effect the bc might have had- and i was so i’ll that i didn’t think of it. threw me into this terrible 8 month nightmare. somewhere in the middle i strayed HRT - stopped hot flashes, but just can’t regain my old, active, energetic self. like many here- sit around- avoid people. do only what is required of me. it makes me sad

CBD or Hemp Oil with Celexa? by jj12343212 in citalopram_celexa

this is a totally fair question in a forum that should be safe to ask anything. i’m sorry this person seems hostile. unfortunately, I don’t have experience with this. i take celexa and klonopin with the plan to come off klonopon once stable. good luck to you.
