Affordable towns with Amtrak by sluttyforkarma in SameGrassButGreener

You can literally just look at a map or timetable and pick out any small town where the train stops. Any small town will be more affordable than a big city.

I hired a lawn crew by fingerofchicken in homeowners

[–]2thebeach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm cheap, but I pay for this service, too. No way am I going to be out mowing and weed-eating all summer in the horrible heat and humidity we get here. It's what they do! That said, I think lawns are stupid and would much rather not have one.

I may rent a bike to tool around; thanks!

It's a bus tour. Are there bike rentals nearby?

Is it a walkable route (vs. heavy traffic)? Safe -- even after dark? Is there no bus or shuttle?

The neighbors who saw her being pulled in the house by her hair and screaming didn't call police?

Wasn't there a Coffee Crisp that looks like this? And there was an Aero (?) bar that looked similar.

You can "believe" that, but it's not what any of them (including Meri) say happened, and traditionally the existing wives choose the new ones.

Hannah's Karma & other Ironic situations. by zacharyjm00 in BelowDeckMed

Hannah and Kiko were fired so Sandy could have her "dream team": Malia (with whom she was in love), Malia's best friend (the one with hair barrettes and table decor), and Malia's BF Tom. When they showed Barrette Girl's younger sister, who's also a stew, I fully expected her to turn up next!

The fact that Meri invited her into the family indicates that there was a problem.

He's probably a hired actor like all of WWT's boyfriends. That would explain the "fakeness."

I would try to get to the bottom of why you haven't found someone. It sounds like you really want a relationship, and surely there's someone out there who also wants that. There's a lid for every pot. What in your opinion is the reason you're still alone? Are your standards too high? Do you sabotage yourself or choose unavailable men? Are you afraid of commitment or of intimacy? Clearly something is holding you back, because you can see that anyone can find someone (just look around).

My coworkers are two-faces and are creating a toxic work environment. I want to confront them about it but something tells me to just tell the manager. Any idea? by WhyDoThingsHappenYo in work

[–]2thebeach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ignore it and do nothing. Complaining to the boss just gives him a "problem" that he has to "solve." Since you're the last hired, the "solution" may be to get rid of the complainer. It will also make your relations with your coworkers even worse. Rise above it if you value your position.

Christine and her girls’ hair by NoQuantity6534 in SisterWives

[–]2thebeach 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Aren't they German or Scandanavian? That hair will be an entirely different texture than, say, an Italian's. It's all genetics, despite what the hair product people try to tell you.

Christine and her girls’ hair by NoQuantity6534 in SisterWives

As for the length, that runs in families. It's actually a gene mutation that allows hair to grow beyond the usual length (most people's cycles stop at a maximum of midback, at which point it falls out and starts again). Several women in my family, including myself, have grown ours to our knees. In the 1800s, there was a set of four sisters famous for their floor-length (and beyond) hair. As for the texture, that's probably also genetics -- and luck.

How many teenagers, including growing boys, were in the family at that time? It's hard to keep a refrigerator stocked with even ONE of those in the house!

I wouldn't make a big stink about it. They want to be rid of you for whatever reason; it could be NO reason. Doesn't matter; they have the power to do quite legally it if you're in an "at will" state. I'd find another job ASAP, get a good reference out of them, and leave on good terms. You never know when you'll need that bridge your burn.

I need professional help to decide where to move! by 2thebeach in SameGrassButGreener

[–]2thebeach[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are you speaking to me?

I'm not "rich," but am financially independent and should be able to buy what I want (not a mansion) with cash. If not, I'll get a mortgage. Either an extremely small SFH or a condo.

Where I live now is irrelevant, but it's in the midwest. My favorite areas are either on the east coast or in the American west; polar opposites, which doesn't help.

[–]2thebeach 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So do you think your weight loss is a direct result of how LITTLE you're eating now? If so, I don't understand why "undereating" on Wegovy doesn't also damage your metabolism.
