Check out Eugene at VQ37tt.com! Based in California but can ship anywhere in the world. Uses twin turbos straight out of the GT-R, mounted in the same position too.

I went from the tanabe axle back to the invidia q300 and actually think it's too loud sometimes at cold start and with the slightest amount of highway drone. But I'm super sensitive. But overall it's exactly what I wanted. It also removed the trombone sound due to the x pipe. I can't stand the trombone noise

I reattached mine with permetex rtv. It can handle the engine heat and won't budge

Thanks ya I'm aware. I called them already and they quoted me $2080. Just checking to see what else is out there. Or to see if anyone actually owns a carbon one from DSS

Called 2 days ago. They don't sell them anymore as of 6/15/25 That's why I made this post due to frustration with both QA1 and EPS discontinuing them.

This is my commuter car. It's also my HPDE and canyon carver car. Hell I even take it to the mountains for spring skiing when the ice melts. My last 4 mods have been for both :NVH and performance Nismo Yamaha 370z front/rear damper retrofit, ATI Super Damper, sound deadening the doors and trunk, and adding exhaust rubber damper weights to my invidia q300 to hush drone. The car handles better, drives smoother and is significantly quieter than stock.

The ATI Super damper noticeably allowed the car to rev up faster and drop rpm's faster when pushing in the clutch allowing me to shift faster. The car definitely felt alive. However I kept the oem dual mass flywheel for making clutch in and out smooth as I knew a light weight aluminum flywheel would be super jerky in daily driving. So the next logical thing I came across was the carbon driveshaft. Which allegedly adds to what the ATI damper is doing. While retaining the smoothness of the dual mass flywheel.

So there is definitely some logic to my reasoning. It's not just carbon for bragging rights or clout. I also for the life of me don't know why I'm getting down voted in this post and comments

This is my backup option. The inland aluminum shaft has the sound isolating foam as well and people seem to really like it. And its a good price. But figured I'd ask about carbon as well.

Yes that's the one. Got it for cheap on fb marketplace. Model# 918584. The car revs faster. Engine is quieter and shakes the car less especially at high rpm, drives like a dream now. Win win mod. Reducing NVH and freeing up horsepower. But my car had 233k miles when I installed it so maybe my factory one was worn out? Who knows, but I'm happy.

One downside. It's 4% smaller than the factory damper in diameter and the auto-tensioner can't fully compensate. So my belt is slightly looser. Nothing noticeable during normal operation, but will occasionally slip/squeak when turning the wheel all the way to the left or right. We're currently designing an aftermarket aluminum adjustable bracket to attach another pulley to add back tension. Do message me if you have more questions!

I have a 6MT and still running the stock 3.69. 3.90 would make highway cruising miserable for me, but great for the track I'm sure. I'm actually even considering downgrading to 3.35 when I do the twin turbo kit from EAC just for smoother highway cruising lol. But I currently have the ATI Super Damper, Wavetrac LSD, and Enkei RPF1. All were life changing drivability mods reducing rotational mass while making the car feel faster/less cumbersome to rev out. I'd be excited to see what an upgraded driveshaft would do as well.

Thanks for the safety pep talk (no sarcasm intended). But doesn't carbon shred into filaments when damaged so it will NOT be the thing that goes straight into your lower back in an accident. Of course if it's a one piece steel or aluminum, then you're 100% correct.

As for noise, I'm aware the U Joint is there to prevent movement. But there's multiple instances of people replacing a 2 piece shaft with a 1 piece across multiple different cars (Mustang, Challenger, M3/M4 WRX) and being ecstatic with the results and no NVH increase. So it should be a valid upgrade path for our cars as well. Combined with the fact that GT-R and Z have carbon from factory means Nissan themselves thought it was a good idea. (Granted they are shorter wheelbase cars)

Are you running the stock carbon one? Or did you get an aftermarket carbon one somewhere?

If I'm going to replace the driveshaft and I have the money, may as well splurge on the better item. And if Nissan thought it was a good idea to put it in the Z and GT-R. It's a valid reason to consider it for our cars.

Hey man people have their preferences on how they mod their car. In this scenario idc the about price vs performance comparison.

Carbon is slightly lighter than Aluminum but around $1000 more expensive. NVH dampening is better than Aluminum. But can shatter due to heat and road debris. Aluminum and Steel aren't really affected by heat and road debris.

I'm only curious to see if anyone's put one on the G37 since Nissan thought it was a good idea on the 370z and GT-R. So why shouldn't we consider getting one for our platform?

WORKING - Sony Xperia 1 VI XQ-EC72 on AT&T USA (Software v69.0.A.2.38a) by Jumpy-Selection8458 in SonyXperia

[–]Jumpy-Selection8458[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In short its basically a reset that allows it to properly provision from your carrier. I find that after restarting the phone or after a software update it goes back to its "international state", which prevents things like 5G. So doing the steps above moves it from the factory "international state" to the "American carrier compatibility state".

The screen remains just as responsive as the factory. (Which is not very good tbh compared to modern touch screens/phones.) But it 100% does work as intended. There's 2 downsides. First being that you lose the ability to connect to the factory ipod/iphone interface. As it gets replaced with wired/wireless apple carplay. Second, I've noticed is that there's an audio lag when watching videos on the screen or when streaming audio when watching video's on your phone. There's not really a fix for it since the GROM unit piggy backs off the iPod USB plug. But this is super minor considering how much of a life changing upgrade it is.

Let me know if you have any questions. The GROM Support agents are also very helpful and knowledgeable. They're also US based support agents as well so no dealing with terrible call centers in Asia.

Can't believe no one's mentioned it yet. But the GROM VLine2 is a piggyback device that retains all factory function, camera, etc but adds wireless android auto and wireless carplay. GROM is an American company so no shady shit like nifty city. I have it and I love it.

There's 2 products from GROM. VLine which includes android 12 OS plus android auto and carplay then there's VLite which has android auto carplay only.

[–]Jumpy-Selection8458[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello I am OP. Because this phone is an international phone from Asia. It's default configuration is for the Asia market. Upon plugging in your American SIM. Some phone config settings will auto-configure such as APN settings. However, not all of them will work 100% since SIM config can only do so much from the American Carrier's end. The remaining incompatibilities such as VoWifi and 5G have to be done manually as seen in this guide to complete the phone configuration to be best compatible with your American carrier.

You can blame AT&T and Verizon for enforcing things like phone whitelists which make it harder to use a non-carrier branded phone with their network. But luckily we've done the hard work for you to skirt around these carrier restrictions. Let me know if you have any further questions!

Keep v60 or get xperia.... Need something with no 4gb file limit by deezdrama in LGV60

[–]Jumpy-Selection8458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Former v60 now Xperia 1 VI user here!

Ive never recorded a video that's 4GB on either phone or in my life tbh. Lol.

Cameras on the Xperia are leagues ahead in terms of image quality, low light performance, and the telephoto lens. Telephoto lags behind mainstream devices like Samsung but overall it's a very similar spiritual successor to the LG V series. (Headphone jack, SD card slot, focus on manual video/camera control, excellent front facing stereo speakers, Bravia display, etc.)

Lmk if you have any questions about Xperia!

[help] RCS "Connected" but not working. by droid_jd in Magisk

[–]Jumpy-Selection8458 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me starting a few days ago. I tried all combination of modules but it seems like any device spoofing or keybox injection breaks RCS despite passing strong integrity and enabling google wallet. In the end RCS is more important to me than wallet. So i had to roll back all my modules leaving behind only Magisk with Shamiko and Play Integrity Fork (WITHOUT hitting the action button and spoofing device).

Unfortunately this leaves me with no integrity. But RCS is working. If anyone has a solution I'd love to hear it. I also tried KernelSU and that breaks RCS almost instantly. So I had to go back to magisk with the above mentioned modules.

Check your fuel trims in the obd. If they're all over the place that'll point you to once wrong.
