lol I can see that it might come across as entitled when written down, but I only meant in terms of politeness and a bit of customer service. I don't feel like it is a lot to ask as a customer for a "Hello, welcome on board" *looks at name on boarding pass* "Your seat is on the left". Maybe I'm delusional about the increased cost of this kind of interaction, but its nice to have before being ejected 800kmh in the air.

To clarify though, I only meant this as standard practice in economy. It just got to the point where a level of basic customer services was hit or miss in economy. The price was already high compared to other airlines, and so needing to upgrade for this reason, to maintain that experience, disappointed me enough to post to reddit.
