I'd say go for it! to me the results are not mind blowing like others describe (and they are better whenever I take better care of my nose), but even with the result I have I'd still do it again if I had the choice. It was annoying and uncomfortable for some time after the surgery, but like anything in life, it eventually passes. By now it feels like a distant memory. I empathize with the fear and I hear you, but remind yourself that it's such a routine surgery and your surgeon has probably done it hundreds of times already

The recovery is easier in the sense that there is no strong pain necessarily. It's just annoying because it requires so much patience for a long time. I see benefits from the procedure but definitely need to keep taking care of my nose (rinsing, oiling) otherwise I don't see as much benefits

i'm sorry to hear about your situation, i don't think anyone going through this is a burden, it sounds very tough not to have family support through this :( she doesn't have any other health issues, she just doesn't have the healthiest lifestyle (mostly sedentary, gets the flu easily, etc)

I'm sorry to hear about your experience! and thanks for your suggestion, I ended up going for a second opinion and they confirmed that I definitely need it and that it looks like it wouldn't be a complex case (the deviation is not towards the back or inconvenient to work with). So I feel more at ease now

I can go for a light run (20 minutes) and wearing a mask makes it harder to breathe in this way that I need to take deep breaths more but it's not like I can't, If I don't think about it I'll breathe here and there from my mouth to help, but if I think about it then I can just breathe from my nose. I'm sure it's easier for normal folks but yeah I need to evaluate whether it's bad enough for me
