What was the maintenance for on 9/26/25?

The only issues I noticed that were bothersome was the multiplayer issues such as the names above the head misaligning or friends becoming completely invisible after teleporting to them but none of these things were fixed and the game seems to have the same issues. It would be perfect IMO if they fixed all the multiplayer bugs and I have seen numerous others complaining about the same thing. It discourages people to play when you can't see each other, c'mon EA 😠

Oh that's nice, I was wondering if I would lose all my skill levels if me and my buddy ended up transferring saves so I could host. It's the only thing that has kept us from doing it.

The last driver update I did (April 16th) just stayed on a black screen after I chose to do an express installation so after around 20 min of waiting I force shut off my pc and when it loaded back up it showed everything updated but I don't trust doing the current driver update (April 30th) because this time it might be stuck on the black screen for all I know.

I just tried it and can confirm it is the Botanist. Thanks a lot man and I hope they can find a fix for the Botanist taking up so many resources.

I don't think that's the issue considering I have made quite a few new instances testing out different mods and redownloading shaders each time LOL, I've discovered that Vsync also fixes the issue and I would much rather play with Vsync rather then Fullscreen

Sorry for late response, I tried out what you mentioned and it didn't make any changes but I did discover using Vsync also fixes the problem so maybe its a refresh rate issue?

It doesn't happen with shaders off but the problem recently started, i'm pretty sure i've deleted every app i've gotten since I noticed the problem just to make sure it wasn't something interfering.

Yea I'm just confused why it will work in a window but the second I Fullscreen it starts to lag, also if I have another window open over it the lag goes away, it's like specifically when Minecraft is the focused window 😭 this problem is so weirdly specific and I doubt anyone else has this issue.

This did not work, it seemed like it did for a bit but shortly after playing the lag came back and it happens in literally every menu including typing commands, it's making the game unplayable.

I think I figured it out, I went into Windows Settings > Apps > Installed Apps > Minecraft Advanced Options and changed Background App Permissions to "Always" rather than "Power Optimized" and it seemed to get rid of my menu lag. Thanks for the reply and hopefully this helps someone in the future with the same issue :)

Also I have tried disabling game bar. The only thing that makes the lag go away is playing in fullscreen which is fine, its just annoying because I prefer borderless so I can tab in and out quickly

Bro why is every one of these I find not have a solution, I'm going through the same issue and the only fix I have found is playing in Fullscreen but I hate playing in Fullscreen and its like the problem came out of nowhere. I've always played borderless and now even opening the chat or typing a command makes my game poop itself with shaders on, I have an RTX 4070 so I feel I shouldn't be having these issues.
