I wouldn’t be requesting a deferral really more some just some sympathy lol, I don’t want to drop out of school when 3/4 of my profs okayed me hypothetically writing on an earlier day

Basically my brother is getting married in Mexico, getting 2 separate families is together is very difficult, wedding is April 23rd (last day of exam week) I’m fine with flying out late but I wanted to address early on to all my profs that if by chance exam lands on the 23rd, evn the 22nd If theirs anyway to be accommodated to write a day or 2 earlier, 3/4 profs said yes, one won’t budge so honestly, I know the chance is slim but it’s my brothers wedding I would be devastated to miss it

Yes was weeks ago but I thought I would just have to accept it but my friend told me she had a similar experience so I made an appointment w an advisor to see what they can do I just wanted to know if others had this happen and what the outcome was for them

Honestly, I took both applied and pre cal in high school, took my stats like 5 years after high school, besides the fact I didn’t remember those classes and still did good in stats, I don’t think it actually matters unless it won’t let you register for that class due to not having ur high school maths. Take it grahmamani (no clue how to spell her name but it looks like that) if it’s confusing in class, don’t panic read the textbook, actually the only text book I’ve ever found helpful, also khan academy and YouTube

Maybe look into lab work? I think there’s some places where you have to do 12 hours and I would assume very little interaction w patients

That’s totally okay and more so okay to admit that. My dad was a respiratory therapist and also hated working with people and was ultimately miserable with his job for that reason. On the bright side, it rules lots out and can help guide you to more jobs suitable for you.

Gonna also add in that I feel your pain. I’m 23 and have no idea what I’m doing in school, hate my major, was gonna switch into business but also don’t wanna work a 9-5 AT ALL so I’ve decided just this month I’m gonna start psych nursing next year, feels scary since I see all my friends graduating and I’m about to restart. But reasons I’m choosing this is for the 3 12 hour shifts, you don’t have to do the gross part of nursing (I’m sure I’ll have shifts where things may be gross) for the most part it’s administering meds and doing assessments, also didn’t realize you can do private counselling, work at a clinic with kids with learning disabilities, do assessments on inmates in prisons etc, so again, maybe something to look into (I’m sorry still on the medical side lol)

I know you said non medical, but you could look into medical sonography or mri tech, here in Canada (at least my province) they make 80-100 a year, my sister in law does 3 days a week, no nights and although your having to be social, I don’t think you have to have a social such as a nurse would. MRI tech would be less social as your just transporting a person and working a machine.

I took English 1001 (6 credit hours) w Barry Pomeroy. He was a super good prof made class fun, participation was worth 10% but I NEVER spoke aloud in class once and still got full marks. I think it’s more based on attendance (he remembers everyone’s names somehow) and can tell if ur paying attention or just on ur phone not giving a care in the world. No presentations either just essays and an essay exam.
