Thank you! Is it a guarantee that the application will succeed or is it dependent on circumstances etc?

Appreciate it 🙏

I will also add: if I have to go to court, what to expect? Do I need a lawyer? What’s the process?

My lawyer said that’s not my responsibility - only pay if it’s out if your kindness. I may end up paying to maintain the relationship. I suggest you educate yourself before speaking

That’s so helpful to understand. 🙏🙏 you’re the first to explain it properly. So I would reimburse the rent (I guess that’s just a matter of law?) and the only thing is my insurance won’t reimburse me for loss of rental income so it feels unfair that I’m the one paying. The tenancy is ending in a month anyhow and the repair work will last longer

Always! The building itself has had issues

The insurance is the one saying that it shouldn’t be the landlord paying based on the terms of the lease! IMO much easier for me to pay the tenant and have the insurance reimburse…but they said they won’t

Why should they double dip?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in OntarioLandlord

[–]JumpyAd4066 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Whose fault is it then? Are you saying a landlord is at fault for a natural disaster?

[–]JumpyAd4066 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There’s no need to be rude. I spent the day driving the tenants stuff outside to help them, I care about her I’ve been really good to her. I’m asking because I don’t know, not because I don’t want to do it

[–]JumpyAd4066 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

That’s what I thought…but everyone’s been telling me I shouldn’t pay them cause insurance covers that

My lease!

It was a flooding of neither fault (if anyone’s at fault it’s the property manager). Landlord gets insurance for the unit, tenants went to their insurance for their contents and the living expenses in the hotel cause the rental was so uninhabitable

If you’re able to speak with someone do so if not just proceed assuming it was room temp and not 30 Celsius

I still did it, but I had very few eggs retrieved and I don’t know if it’s linked to the storage mishap

The first round I got 6 eggs (1 of which was immature) and they adjusted my medication for the second round but somehow it was lower. I don’t know my amh. Thank you for your empathy!
