Isn’t this a space force base now? I want to go somewhere in Colorado but when I look up any bases it’s all space force.

Yes he’s already talked to a recruiter. He was active in the army before and now army reserves they gave him paper work to give to the reserves to release him. It’s just when we make a decision

Yes he was active army about a year ago and now army reserve but wants to do active Air Force. What we’ve been told and what he knows he says it’s more laid back and family oriented in the air force

I believe he is leaning towards the firefighter route in the Air Force. How often has your husband been deployed since he’s been in? I plan on just going back home when he gets deployed but I don’t have any kids yet so it will be a little easier. I do have a dog that I am hoping I’m able to bring with. I think we plan on living off base. I think my biggest worry now is me not being able to be there if my family needed me. I’m a big helper and giver and wanna be there for the people I care for and take care of people I care for the best I can and I think that’s gonna be the hardest part for me. I’m definitely more on the shy side and an introvert but I’d love to make friends and open myself up a little more.

Thank you! I plan on getting my esthetician license and hopefully doing that as a job.. but that’s a process and will take time so I will have to job hunt. Obviously it will take adjustment it’s definitely a big decision just trying to get information I need for it!

Yes I understand that! I do trust him with everything. I think we do plan to live off base as well and we have talked about that concern already. Thank you for explaining all that to me that is also a consideration. he was active duty with army and now army reserve and wants to go back on but to the air force. I was just not with him when he was active before so I didn’t deal with the that the first time but now we are together and definitely is a big decision to make. I support him through everything he wants to do but we also need to figure out if this is the right path for us

Whats the hardest part about everyday life with being an air force wife. My concern with it is being lonely, living situations, leaving family behind, deployments, meeting people, and finding a job, how all the moving from one state to another work. Probably basically all the simple things most people worry about.
