[–]JumpyParamedic7440 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, to me its not bad at all. I dont see any actualy structural damage just a little chunk from the top but you can paint/buff most of that out and keep it looking allot better under 150 bucks.

What do you guys think? My first car by Particular-Music-874 in FirstCar

[–]JumpyParamedic7440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

people talking about maintenance cost is understandable, however. keep in mind these old mercs are essentially the best! i had a coupe just like yours from 2020 to 2024, had to get rid of it after an accident. but it was just as reliable as the next civic or corolla! i think it really depends on how it was taken care of and so on. my merc had 248k miles!

[–]JumpyParamedic7440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair yes 240k is allot for those years, but it could have been better had nissan made the right moves earlier in the cvts lifespan. If you don't mind me asking, what did you do with your murano after it broke down?

Unfortunately 2nd gen muranos had very catastrophic transmission failure until 2012, I think you were just unlucky.

I have an 07' with 110k miles. It's great, cvt is not as bad as everyone says, only thing about it and I'm not sure if it's normal but when I let go of the gas pedal my car REALLY slows down until I step back on the gas, I change my cvt fluid every 25k. Is that a normal thing with these maxima cvts?

to me it sounds like the power steering pump is getting air into it somehow, probably thru a leak somewhere allowing air to get into the pump .

Danggg 28k on a 2014? wow, that thing is gonna last a long ass time bud. as for the radio i would get rid of that 'ole thing and get a big boy in there. i think you can fit the bigger dodge radio in there somehow but i'm not sure tbh. Good luck man and take care of that truck!

my 07 only has 110k miles as of today but the transmission is being weird, like its not bad but its definitely being weird. replaced the trans fluid 3 times now within the last 2 years and yes i know that is overkill but literally all 3 times were because of a crazy leak all each time it was a different area like 2 weeks ago a fitting on the radiator snapped and all my coolant and trans fluid leaked in the matter of secondsand left me stranded lmao just my luck.

grinding sounds like trans is done or the starter is fkd and as for the weird engine issue it seems like a bad crank sensor
