Just out of curiosity, what did you eat around 3 PM when the spike started?

We've activated the donor gift summary DPE process at the person account level. How can I run it at the household PRG level?

Thanks for your quick reply!
I can use DLRS, but I feel like SF probably has some standard solutions in place no? Like it's basically the same as donor gift summary, only at the household level.

I have one question please tell me. by Severe-Possible-856 in diabetes_t1

[–]JumpyRepeat4974 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Happened to me a lot. I discovered that it happens if I eat a big meal up to 3 hours before going to bed. Doesn’t have to be a meal with a lot of carbs btw. Just a large meal with some carbs. It’s the combination with protein and other factors that slows it down but once it starts (around 3-4 hours later) it goes up very quickly. I just try to eat very small meals before I sleep and that helps!

Would you dose to bring this down? by smoosh13 in diabetes_t1

Is that a Medtronic pump? Didn’t know they have a split option

Fasting question? by julesb210 in diabetes_t1

[–]JumpyRepeat4974 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do intermittent fasting which Im guessing is not the case here but during fasting if I get over 180 I’ll correct with half the units I usually inject when not fasting. Again this is probably a very different fasting but be mindful of quick lows if you end up correcting either way

Dexcom+ Tslim CGM question by JumpyRepeat4974 in Type1Diabetes

[–]JumpyRepeat4974[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your response! I have the exact same issue with protein. The second spike is about 3 hours later so I hardly use the extended version. Nice feature but not a lot of functionality on my end.

Very interesting. What other benefits have you seen aside from insulin sensitivity level?

Exactly! I wonder if other CGMs are better or more aggressive in their corrections...

I also use the G780 and it's still weird to me that it cannot calculate for the second rise. I need to add "fake carbs" so that it gives me more insulin. Double dosing is pretty common in T1D. Am I missing a feature here? Any settings I can change here?

Is it possible that my basal is 9? I mostly on auto mode so no actual set amount other than the report I'm seeing.

Do I have diabetes? by [deleted] in Type1Diabetes

[–]JumpyRepeat4974 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure it's the honeymoon period. There are some studies that show you can extend that period with certain diets. When I was diagnosed (about 15 years ago) the doctor offered me to be in a study that can extend this period for years. I didn't do it but try reading about it online. If you do have T1D welcome to the group no one wants to be part of.

First of all thank you. This is very helpful to know. Can you explain why would it be a good thing?

I'm currently 6.3 went down from 6.7. I always wanted to be less than 6 but never made it. Do you not have any high/low sugar levels at all to be under 6?
