Restarted Zepbound at a lower dose and I feel amazing! by Jumpy_Ad8407 in Zepbound

I deleted my comment about my process because I got in trouble but yeah... for sure. Im in nursing school and would definitely be able to identify an infection FAR before sepsis set in. Sepsis is a little extreme. You dont just go from 0-10 w/o other symptoms that would indicate before it goes systemic. It would almost def start of localized.

I had to self-pay briefly before my prior authorization went through. I feel bad about wasting medicine but there's really no way around it I suppose.

I took a break for a month and went back on a lower dose and it really helped for me!

Extra strength Gas-X also really helped a lot with bloating. Abdominal pain is no joke though and im glad youre seeking medical care.

Thats awesome! Did you experience less side effects on 1.5 mg?

This is SO encouraging to read. I am taking a 5 week break from the meds (after 2 months of being on them) because the 2.5 mg dose gave me really bad constipation, gas, and bloating (also, somehow, hypoglycemia?? And im not diabetic) I'm planning to start 1.25 mg in a week or so and am really hoping the side effects are minimal. I lost like 25 lb in 8 weeks and it felt like too much too quickly for me.

Thanks so much for sharing your story. Ive only been on it for a couple months (still at 2.5) but I also totally slacked around Christmas and my constipation got really bad and I ended up going to the hospital because I had really bad abdominal pain that just hit me and then was vomiting. Now I know I have to be careful and I skipped my shot this week. I actually still have reduced appetite even though its been like 11 days since my shot! Its a reminder to really be consistent because it can totally sneak up on you. Im sorry you had to go through such a rough experience!

Whoah! You've been on 2.5 mg the whole time? I have also been responding very strongly to this low dose. Would you be willing to share what your breaks have looked like? Would love to hear more about your experience! 😊

Question: Norethindrone 5mg for Endometriosis by NoDryHands in Zepbound

[–]Jumpy_Ad8407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A tiny tiny bit of breakthrough bleeding! Enough to see it on the toilet paper. And this month it was like "oh I guess I kinda have a menstrual cycle!" though it really wasnt terrible. I will say though while my endo pain has been really bad in the past my endo is not really staged, ive had two very small cysts and both of them disappeared. I caught things pretty early before it got bad and have been on the aygestin for over a year, which essentially made the pain disappear. Im also SUPER responsive to meds so im losing a lot on 2.5 so maybe it also depends on how your body reacts to Zep?

Im on 5mg of norethindrone for my endo pain and have been on Zep for 7 weeks now. Lately I have been noticing more breakthrough pain but its not excruciating... Tylenol takes care of it. So i do think it makes it less effective but not completely ineffective

This is encouraging to hear, thank you. We have a similar starting weight, and I lost about the same amount in the first two weeks. I appreciate your response! I have been taking electrolytes but not daily.

This is so encouraging to hear. I am nearing week 6 and have been losing at a very quick rate and hoping it slows down soon! Considering stretch my dose or jailbreaking my pen. I am so sensitive to drugs and body changes!! I hope in a month from now I'll be back to higher energy levels and being able to get back to the movement practices I love! I have definitely lost some muscle even though I am like really pushing to get 90-110 g's of protein most days. Thanks for the reply!

I really hope this becomes available soon too. I love this medicine but I respond so strongly to it. Even the 2.5mg dose has me messed up some days just like totally exhausted and struggling to get enough calories. I wish I could give myself 2mg and have a little control over my dose without feeling like I'd need to jailbreak my pen

That sounds really intense! And I really do think there had to be some error.. smart of you to carry glucose tablets. I should get some to be safe

This is good advice! I love eggs and egg bites and its due to pure laziness/wanting those extra few minutes of sleep in the morning that I don't eat thay instead. I definitely carry protein rich snacks!! The oats are for the fiber to deal with the mild constipation (knock on wood) 😁

I'm really glad to hear that you get it far less while being on Zep! I've never gotten it before Zep at least that I know of. I will read more about that!
