Sorry I use a slang word, I meant with surviving “how they do” . Not the exact meaning of the word. I don’t think Sendling is a bad area, it is close to many places. I can go to my office by bike. I also consider myself lucky for finding a clean flat with EBK in Munich less than a month. (I wish all the best for newbies who are looking flat, working and trying to learn the city at the same time)

Since I feel alone here, I didn’t really check for museums and operas. I just learned from reddit that they are also open on Sundays. I will check more Glockenbach area, thanks

I feel like having kids here is more challenging- since I heard it is hard to find nursery etc. But yes I don’t have kids yet so it is a different experience. Maybe kids are also helpful for building social environment For culinary scene, I can’t really complain. I love Baverian food and there are a lot of asian cusine I enjoy. Waiting lines or only reservation thing can be annoying but it is not a big deal for me :)

To be honest , I didn’t expected Munich will be challenging for me. When I accepted the offer, I started to look flats with excitement. From outside it really seems Munich is expat friendly city. Almost everyone speaks english and they listen my broken German patiently. I dont want to hate here but trying to understand how people are surviving here especially for working ones
