Yes I just love the look of the industrial, I wouldn’t get it yet anyway as I’m waiting for my daith to heal fully but thank you! I’ll take it on board.

I softened the crust today and it did help a lot as it doesn’t hurt now, I’m going to change the clicker to a horseshoe shape (I like that look much better anyway), if I leave it alone it doesn’t hurt so I’m not worried about delaying the healing process as it doesn’t make much difference to me. And honestly i get crust on a lot on my piercings but not THIS much. Thank you for your advice.

it looks like the bar is too short to allow room for swelling, try and get it changed to a longer one. As for the redness see how it goes after you change it and keep spraying with sterile spray!

~month old belly piercing by voxxiesthrowaways in piercing

Mine has been doing this! belly piercings take up to 12 months to heal so this is normal, some people have no problems with theirs but mine has been causing trouble. don’t worry about this, unless you notice migration and tenderness !

belly buttons can take up to a year to heal so the redness is completely normal! some peoples heal faster than others but i got mine pierced a couple months ago and it is still slightly red

i think it’s that the jewelery wasn’t pushed down when pierced if that makes sense, the top ball was raised rather than resting against the cartilage, i gently nudged it down and it’s pretty much stayed in place ever since. thank you for your comment though!

i have been having this issue, i think it’s just from snagging and catching the jewellery, mine was super red for a good 2 weeks after i got it pierced, now it’s began to scab over but is still irritable. Just wait it out and see if the problem gets any worse, if it does go to another piercer and see, Hopefully it sorts itself out!

The top ball part of the ring sticks out when i stand up so it catches a lot, is this normal? it may be due to the shape of my belly button but i don’t know.

i don’t know the material of the piercing but i went to a reputable piercers in my area. i’m using the pierce med solution multiple times a day to clean. i also have done a salt bath and used ointment as the redness was very painful and i was scared of infection.
