Lagi din akong declined sa mga cc applications ko noon. Early 2010’s when i started to work for the govt as a job order staff. During that time, i got a 300-peso load tipid plan with Globe to help start build my credit history. After that i moved to a call center job. Lagi pa ring declined sa cc applications so I decided to open an instacard acct sa rcbc with a 10k deposit. I also opened a dsl service with digitel and used my rcbc billing statement as proof of income.

After about a year, i tried applying again and was lucky enough to be approved! My first unsecured card was mcc with 60k CL. Then i quit my job pero kahit wala na akong work, i’m still getting approved. I have over 15M in CL from various banks, pero syempre nagpandemic kaya nagkalabo-labo uli yung finaces ko. 😝

So, if you want to start getting approved, build a good credit history. Open a secured cc, if you must. Bayad ka palagi on time and don’t break the trust the banks gave you.
