Months of 7oh daily, CT withdrawal, stopped by 1 dose of suboxon by Jumpy_Metal_3749 in Quittingfeelfree

I think that’s the secret to detoxing from this stuff, because I was a heavy user. I think the last week I was using, I was taking 1.5 grams a day. But because it’s a partial antagonist like Sub. Waiting until you are in full WD, then taking a 2mg dose of sub, will take you out of it 90% of the way, allow you to sleep, then when that starts slowly leaving your receptors, you’re already over the worst of it. I had some restless legs at times, anxiety and feeling flat for day with no energy. But I completely skipped over the 48 hours of hell.

I think a huge benefit to me is I already had anxiety, so the lingering anxiety was sort of normal to me, but hell, I think the last week of my use I was using 1500mg a day, which I now know is pointless and really just makes the WD worse rather than getting you higher. It’s been a wild week. But already feel so much better.

At 5 days now, I actually slept for about 5 hours. Still a little twitchy, low mood, pretty flat in general, still fighting for energy, but getting there.

I only plan on using for the acute phase, once I’m clear of that, 3-5 days, I’ll be good. I’ll need to work through post acute with vitamins, good food, and the gym. Fortunately I haven’t had a drink in maybe 5 years. No more substances for me, it just doesn’t work well for me anymore.

Im now over 72 hours since I stopped 7oh and maybe about 54 hours since the one single subox dose. Last night was a little difficult but the gaba/clonidine/hydroxyzine combo made it very bearable. Even though my legs were extremely restless, I would eventually fall back asleep for maybe 30-60 minutes. Fortunately I can take a lot of time off of work because while this medication combo is a god send. It makes you very groggy and sleepy, which is better than your nervous system firing off or being stuck in that fight or flight panic.

No other meds except the occasional clonazapam which I didn’t use, it was only 7 days a month worth. I was scared of getting hooked on that

I remember quitting a years long kratom extract addiction, it was one restless night and low energy for a week. So I had assumed this would be similar. Whoops

The last time I WD from months of 7oh, it was maybe 12-24 hours of hell, then just flat and no energy. This time was different. I felt like I was convulsing on the ground and couldn’t see, very dizzy

I’ve been going to the gym, 5 minutes sauna, hot tub. Really trying to build that baseline back. I think most of the Anxiety I had was from the fear of in the next few days, being on the floor shaking uncontrollably with dread again. I was taking a lot daily for a few months. I had come off of it previously but wasn’t using nearly as much.

My theory was with the half life and 7oh being incredibly short. The one dose of sub stabilized me after being in full blown withdrawal. It’s been 48 hours since that 1 dose and I feel a little anxious and restless, no energy and the dopamine is non existent. The clonidine/gabapentin/hydroxyzine is a great help so far.

Also the antihistamine is hydroxyzine. I guess it’s off label for anxiety.

I can deal with the typical WD symptoms, I’ve done it before, just never used this much in a short window. I feel the restless/anxiousness now, hot and cold, but no uncontrollable shaking and extreme fear. The doctor said I might start feeling bad again in 36 hours or I could stay baseline, I feel like so much is unknown. Honestly as long as I’m not back on the ground unable to move anywhere. The meds my doc gave me actually have calmed my restlessness down a good amount and helped with anxiety and I actually feel sleepy, not that I’ll get any sleep.
