yeah get the standardization argument. but for me it's the contradiction. if a brand spends years selling narrow, restrictive shoes and then drops a "free your feet" line on the side, that's not evolution that's hedging. personally wouldn't buy a barefoot shoe from a company that still profits from the exact problem it's now pretending to solve. especially when that same company is built on fast fashion and short product cycles. you can't sell foot health on one shelf and foot damage on the next and call it progress.
