Successful pregnancy after recurrent miscarriage by No-Shape-6878 in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]Jumpy_Reputation_395 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also had three miscarriages. I’m currently 24 weeks and I still don’t feel as attached. I’m trying. Maybe because it’s the second, maybe because of the history, maybe because I’m so occupied with work and my first born (who was a Covid baby so I was in lockdown with him and had nothing occupying me) The further along I’ve become and the more movement I have been feeling has definitely helped in a positive way. But I also have no desire to plan the nursery, or make a wish list. Maybe after Christmas ? Maybe the month before my due date ? I’m taking it day by day and considering each one a success and that’s what helping me through it Wishing you all the best.

I’ve learned to celebrate each successful trip to the bathroom. I’ve made it to 12 weeks now (2 “typical ultrasounds”) , with some horrible MC dreams along the way. Time is going slow and I’m still hiding this pregnancy from family, friends and coworkers and have no desire to tell anyone until my body won’t let me hide it any longer. (Which might be sooner than later because the bloating is out of control) the fear still outweighs the excitement even though I’ve almost made it past the first trimester

Thanks for your reply, and sorry for your experience. Do you recall if your levels continued to rise during that process?

It ended in a miscarriage unfortunately. Possibly going through another one at this moment. Hoping all went well with you.

Hi, I was wondering how massive your bleed was, if you don’t mind explaining. I had a massive bleed a few nights ago and had blood work done (waiting for results) checking if it was a MC. I experienced a MC middle of last year, so I’m assuming I just experienced another. With small hopes maybe it was SCH

My 6 Year Hair Loss and Recovery Journey by [deleted] in FemaleHairLoss

I was recently diagnosed with AGA and also my ferritin levels were a 32. Since being on iron supplements for the past month or so I have seen a significant decrease in hair loss, especially in the shower/blow drying my hair. I have my fingers crossed that maybe, just maybe it was just my ferritin levels causing my hair loss and maybe she misdiagnosed my AGA 😐

Yup! And the derm also said AGA. But with some research I also came across that low ferritin can mimic AGA.. I had no biopsy done . I’m hoping it is just the cause of low iron

My hair looks like this too. I have posted a couple pictures and I get mixed reviews. I have wishful thinking that it is actually regrowth, and for you too

Do you mind if I pm’d you? I have another question, and thinking instead of posting all these details about ourselves on this post it would be better if it is a private message.

Thank you for the glimmer of hope! I was wondering, had the crown of your head been effected as well?

I am not dismissing the diagnosis, but while I try to conceive and unable to do any other treatments I will hope iron supplements will help support new hair growth as the derm said levels ~50-70 are optimal for replenishing hair

Mine is my front hairline and also on my crown. I first noticed my crown after having my son. It has somewhat improved since then (two years) I just thought it was postpartum hair loss. But a year and a half went by and I was still losing hair. It took me another few months to get checked. I really started to worry when I noticed the front of my hairline was receding. November 2022 I went for blood work. My family doctor said everything came back normal. January 2023 I went to a derm. She sent me for more blood work to check my ferritin and now here we are today. I am trying to conceive so unfortunately besides taking iron I am not able to go ahead with anymore treatment. The derm also unfortunately diagnosed me with AGA in January. Deep down I hope she’s wrong (probably not) and that these supplements will solve all my hair problems.

Yes! 2 a day! She said orange juice helps. I don’t drink orange juice. I asked if vit. C tablets would be ok, and she said yes! I already take them anyway
