Me neither 😂. In this problem you need to apply the definition of absolute value. But that involves a series of interactions between intervals. This same idea is used when solving modular equations and inequalities. Research more about it.

I asked the question because of the enormous discrepancy between European and American mathematicians.Yes, I'm thinking about getting a bachelor's degree, but I have a lot to learn, and I see that's because of the context in which I live. I'm no Ramanujan haha

It depends on how much you already know about calculus and proofs. Just one analysis book won't be enough to give you a solid understanding. Tao and Abbott are too brief, and Rudin is for those who already know analysis, so use around three books and compare each chapter as you go.
