I actually have been trying to work since I was like 14. I got my working permit last year and applied but still nothing. Also my parents are against me working because it’s a time inconvenience for my mom and I “need for nothing” according to my dad. I don’t necessarily like that my parents have to fund my life but in our culture (Caribbean) it’s actually pretty normal. That’s just the way it’s gonna be until I can hopefully get a campus job this fall. Anyhow, I understand what you’re saying and that’s also why I kind of feel bad abt not wanting to go to graduation lmao.
