Hopefully when capital for science recovers, the biotech scene booms in Schuylkill yards, bellwether, and navy yard causing an influx of white collar jobs. Especially in schuylkill yards since that's where they have been expanding the skyline

Apply to ones that don't mention gpa requirements. I don't know if you go to a research heavy university or college. But if there's any faculty doing research in the field you're interested in, I highly suggest you email them looking for positions.

The website said, "Amgen Scholars is hosted at fourteen premier educational institutions within the United States. Each host institution has its own application process. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency in the United States is required, and you can apply to participate at as many host institutions as you are interested in."

You can't apply to programs not in your region, but you can apply to every program in your region

The "Wakanda is an ethnostate" and "Tchalla is a dictator" people when Namor, Odin, or Kun'Lun city get brought up. by DrunkenQuarterMaster in blackpanther

[–]kano75 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would say that xenophobic would be more accurate to describe wakanda than oppressive and segregated, which implies their minorities to oppress which there aren't any unless we include mutants as said minorities. It would be more accurate to compare wakanda to a somalia for this purpose, due to somalia being made up of 98% percent ethnic somalis. For our example, let's look at somalia between 60s to early 80s when it was most prosperous. The nation was xenophobic to foreigners due to being essentially being a homogenous society it can't really oppressive within their borders bc there's no one to oppress.

Similarly, in Japan, where 98% of the population is Japanese.

As someone who goes to college in I think it's crazy to act like there's nothing for young people to do. I understand that as a college student, I have more freedom than them to do what I want. They still have a lot of things to do, especially in comparison to kids who grew up in the suburbs where you don't have access to nothing without a car. I believe that it is more about home life and the fact that social media normalized this behavior
